He went to several art schools around the world, including the Kansas City Art Institute, the Academie Julian in Paris, France, and Black Mountain College in North Carolina. He was a part of the Pop Art movement and used images from popular media for his art. He was famous for his “combines,” where he took multiple items and combined them into a sculpture or painting or collage. Today, you will be making a tape transfer collage based off of his most famous work, Retroactive I. Magazines Scissors Packing tape Water Paper towels Construction paper Flip through your maga- zines, newspapers, and photographs and save images that represent you and your interests. Attach packing tape over these images. Soak your tape covered image in water for thirty seconds. Continue doing this to all of your images and let them dry on a paper towel, sticky side facing up. Cut around the packing tape in the shape you want. On a paper towel, rub off the paper from the tape. The ink from your image should remain. With your collection of im- ages, create a collage on your construction paper. Try creating interesting overlaps with your collage parts. Retroactive I, 1963

Robert Rauschenberg nació en Tejas en 1925. Mire a través sus revis-tas, periódicos y fotos y guarde imagines que representa usted y sus interesas. Ponga la cinta sobre estos imagines.

Mójese la cinta cubierta imagen en el agua por 30 segundos.

Siga todo el proceso con todos sus imágenes y déjelos para secar en la toalla de papel, con el lado pegajoso hacia arriba.

Corte alrededor la cinta de embalaje en cualquiera forma se desea.
