Renowned architect and car expert Holder Schubert needed a screen to keep his luxury garage cool while blending in with the space’s modern design.

Schubert mounted Phantom’s motorized screens on the exterior of the garage’s windows to help reduce solar glare and provide shade from the sun.

OVERVIEW

In 2009, Holger Schubert claimed first place in Maserati’s Ultimate Garage competition with a space he designed specifically for the contest. The 1,200-square-foot man cave houses Schubert’s 1984 Ferrari 512 BBi Boxer and looks out over a beautiful yard in Los Angeles, CA.

To keep the space cool without taking away from the architecture or view, Schubert installed Phantom’s motorized screens. The screens stop heat from entering the room through 16 foot glass windows making it a perfect place to retreat in the hot afternoons. In the evening and cooler seasons, the screens retract completely out of sight at the touch of a button.
