What Are You StrugglingWith the Most?

The HVAC industry is growing at an incredible rate and there are not enough qualified workers to fill current job openings, let alone future job openings. While this may be good for qualified workers currently looking for a job, it poses a serious problem for business owners who may want to grow their companies, or even just fill a current opening.

At the HVAC-R & Mechanical Conference for Education Profes-sionals in March, Jennifer McNelly, president of the Manufacturing Institute, the non-profit affiliate of the National Association of Manufacturers, emphasized how 82 percent of manufacturers in the U.S. can’t find qualified workers right now.

HVAC Contractors & Employers NeedMore Qualified and Certified Technicians

THE STRUGGLE:

The Universal EPA license is required to handle refrigeration. This certification allows graduates to charge air conditioning systems and reclaim refrigeration. This is a must-have certification for anyone interested in becoming an HVAC Technician.

The Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) certification is a comprehensive and preventative maintenance program that allows students to test for moisture, mold, airborne volatile organic compounds (VOCs), odors and other aspects of IAQ.

The NATE Certification is the most recognized national certification program in the HVAC industry. Students will test for the following: • NATE Core • NATE Heat Pump and AC • NATE Gas Furnace

More Than Just Technical Training

In addition to our live HVAC labs and classroom training, we teach an “Adrenaline Call Process” which simulates a service call. This process is designed to increase the company’s bottom line by teaching the non-technical skills such as positive attitude, courtesy, proper attire, good communication, personal hygiene and listening; just to name a few. Students with these necessary soft skills will be able to build relationships with homeowners and generate sales leads.

Perform a clean and check

Disassemble and re-wire a furnace

Install hard start kit

Change outdoor fan motors

Evaporator & condensing coil cleaning

Clean flame sensors

Check resistance on igniters

Pull amp draws on motors

Check gas pressure

Check compressors shorted to ground

Change circuit boards & transformers

Have their EPA Certification

Customer service skills & sales leads
