retail highlights from danette’s mission trip

In May 2014, Danette participated in a 2-week mission trip to Uganda as part of Equipping with Truth Ministries.The trip included time in Kampala (the capital), Lira and the villages of Northern Uganda.The following slides are a glimpse of the retail industry she saw along the way.
Even in the capital city of Kampala, pedestrians have to move out of the way of cattle meandering around or grazing in roundabout areas as traffic goes by on both sides.
Meat case at smaller mom & pop supermarket in Kampala. They carried beef, pork, chicken and goat, and a sign indicated they just started featuring duck.
Meat case at Uchumi in Kampala. Uchumi is a Kenyan supermarket chain with 34 stores.This case had beef, pork, chicken and goat.
