W elcome to the first Retailers Forum!

The Retailers Forum is founded and organized after some research and development from the

retail Industry needs aimed to give senior retail professionals access to new ideas, solutions and innovations to help take their companies forward with latest retail trends in mind thus making informed decision with global benchmarks which in turn will help retailers in formulation of future strategies.

We endeavor that the Retail Forum will be a MUST TO ATTEND annual event for any retailer in coming years within the East Africa region due to its uniqueness of the event in respect to its selection of Expert speakers from the Industry who not only share theory but experience to mentor the upcoming retailers with the global benchmarked solutions

and also where the service provider meets the delegate/retailer in one-to-one forum where they can share industry best practice.

The interactive forum will be able to drilling down into any specific issues arising in the industry, allowing delegates to share their collective experiences and to learn how their peer’s industry players are overcoming with similar situations since it cuts across the industry

We look forward to improve the profile of the event from time to time by getting the international exhibitors and speakers.

Our special thanks goes to our Sponsors, Speakers and delegates who managed to attend the event for the Retail Forum success belongs to all of us…

We welcome you to our next edition of the Retailers Forum 2014 and organize to participate on the upcoming event for it will be a fabulous one with some Retail Awards!

May you have a Merry Christmas and Prosperous New year 2014!

Event Organizer’s Message

Supporting Association Message

I take this opportunity to welcome all delegates, distinguished speakers, sponsors and exhibitors to this retail forum. This is a great opportunity to discuss matters affecting the Retail industry.

The Retail Trade Association of Kenya (RETRAK) was formed about a year ago. The objective being to provide Retailers with a central representative body to put across their agenda and retail trade concerns to government agencies, parliament and other bodies for their benefit.

RETRAK campaigns to promote and defend Retailers’ interests and advise retailers of threats and opportunities to their business. We aim to encourage, develop, facilitate and support Retailers to adopt best practice. We also aim to create a reservoir of information through retail research, disseminating communication through magazines, newsletter,

website etc. for the benefit of its members and the industry.

As Retailers our greatest challenges come from the need to automate systems for better and more efficient operations, having good security systems that would control internal and external threats and efficient HR systems that would improve the quality of employees and in turn have loyal, happy customers. All these issues will be covered during this symposium.

It is my humble request that at the end of the day, more retailers will join the association so that we can become a voice to reckon with.

I wish everyone a very successful Forum.

Yours truly,

Bobby GadhiaChairmanRETRAK
