NOW AVAILABLE ON EGRESSWe are delighted to inform our members that we have developed two new videos that will support our existing and new members to Retail Crimewtch.1. The first video is targeted at new users and to act as a refresher, explaining the Retail Crimewatch Scheme, how best to use it and the benefits.2. The second video covers completion of Exclusion Orders and Incident Forms.

It is worthwhile, after reviewing the videos, to keep updated with the new images that have been released on Egress been released on Egress over the last two weeks. This will help keep the most prolific offendersout of your store.

There have been a few changes to the RetailCrimewatch image update section on Egress:

• All images are now broken down into both male and female to make it easier to review and train staff on who they need to watch out for.•All new releases will have a red box aroundtheir image.their image.•Images have also been broken down into maleand female by surname which allows you toquickly search for an offender.

Remember to log into Egress regularly to keepyou and your team updated on current offenders.

Please ensure the Retail Crimewatch ExclusionOrder and Incident Froms are both completedfully and that a crime reference number isincluded.

Remember - if the stolen goods have been returned to you and you have issued an ExclusionOrder Order to the offender and no police were requiredto attend, the incident will still need to be recordedor reported to the police.

Once you report the offence, record the crime reference number on the Incident Form and stateif you would like the incident investigated or not.

February 2021 sees three years since the flagging system was introduced to target prolificoffenders in the Retail Crimewatch scheme.
