[EMPLOYMENT HISTORY]
TOMARO DESIGN GROUP, MANHATTAN BEACH, CA [5/2014-8/2014] JUNOIR DRAFTSMAN -A small to midsize firm where I was involved in multiple projects, and multiple aspects of each. I worked closely with my project manager developing construction documents. I worked on redline for remodel and edits to designs, communication with consultants regarding interiors and landscaping plans, and also dealt with the redline corrections we received from city building departments.
EL CAMINO COMMUNITY COLLEGE, TORRANCE, CA [9/2004-6/2007]
REUTER & REUTER INC., TORRANCE, CA [9/2012-5/2014] ASSOCIATE - DRAFTER/DESIGNER -A small firm where I am given the opportunity to learn about all aspects of the firm and industry. I help with the designs of spaces, and then take the design and hard line it to be further analyzed. I check drawings, and redline them to be corrected. I do code research to make sure that what needs to be done is in compliance. We do office design charettes to figure out design issues that the office runs into. I create design solution packets; including plans, elevations and 3D renderings, for our clients or contractors so they can better understand what we are trying to accomplish. I also deal with the building department to get our plans reviewed and approved.
SUNSERI DESIGNS, TORRANCE, CA [9/2012-PRESENT] AS-BUILTS - AUTOCAD -I started my own business doing as-built projects. I take the redlined plans and correct the autocad drawings according to how they were actually built on the site. I also go to sites and take measurements to create the as-builts from scratch.

PROJECT DESCRIPTIONThis project was a interior build. The building was recently built, but was left with an open floor plan. My firm created a floor plan that fit our clients’ needs; five exam rooms, an X-ray room, offices, a reception area with seating, restrooms, and a break room. In this project I did site visits to get the exact measurement for our drawings. I was in charge of coordinating the construction documents, and seeing them through plan check. I coordinated with our mechanical and electrical contractors to make sure they had the correct drawings they needed to complete the job. I made sure we had every detail needed to complete the project.

In this project we gutted a small comerical building, and designed two small medical offices. We dealt with many design changes by the client, and we finally came to this final product. We also reworked the front facade and made it more modern with full height glass walls, and frameless glass doors.

PROJECT DESCRIPTIONIn this project there needed to be an ADA accessiable entrance into the lobby, and the orignal enterance was not a viable option. We put an ADA ramp in the back lot and put additional door in the front area of the the health center facing the back lot. We made a brand new lobby area and reconfigured ten offices. We also had an issue with the city with the parking lot, and had to figure out a way to make it work, so we created tandem parking for the employees while still keeping the correct amount of spaces needed foe the site.

PROJECT DESCRIPTIONIn this project I helped develope an ADA ramp on the site. I reworked the remaining parking around the ramp. Also for the client I created a 3D rendering of our idea so he could get a better understanding on what we were planning on doing for him. Also we created three awnings that will go on two corners of the building and the other over the ADA ramp.

For this project we were creating a bunch of presentation drawings for the Paster of this church so he could present them to his congregation, so that he could help raise money for the new importments he wanted to impliment. I used revit to create the 3D model and develope the plans and elevations.

LIVING CITY[PUBLIC INTERACTION WITHIN A STADIUM DEVELOPMENT][THESIS 2011-2012]
By placing a stadium development in an urban setting with a pedestrian-oriented site, it can become an interactive and lively area enhancing the life of the city. Stadiums today are vibrant destinations, but only during events. By creating a more accessible stadium the area can become active year-round. The new development will create a more walkable and tangible space for the pedestrian, by creating a pedestrian flow allowing access to the whole site, whether it be visual or physically tangible.
Stadiums today are extremely underutilized With the amount of land that these massive developments take up they should have more uses than just be a mere sporting or event venue. A stadium needs to become a place where people want to be on a day there is no event happening. With no other uses for the public, the stadium and immediate area go unused for a majority of the year, thus creating a dead zone within the city. Stadiums create a disconnect between the surrounding areas. Most stadiums are built on the public’s dollar, and are not public venues. Stadiums today do not create a sense of place, just a destination for people going to a given event. Stadiums and their immediate surroundings never realize their full potential. Placing a stadium development in a urban setting jump starts a budding area, and creates a “living city.” The possibilities are endless.

THE MONORAIL CONNECTION[STUDIO PROJECT 2011]
2050 PLAN
For this project I picked the site on 7th & Market which is a parking lot right now. My proposal for the site is a mixed use building with a transportation hub. I proposed a monorail stop to travel through the building, which then creating a open space/plaza, thus created a gathering area. With my design I wanted to create connections to major nodes of the city, like the gaslamp and petco park. By creating connection throughout the city i hope this creates a city center which then creates another area in downtown of congestion.

THE COMMUNITY TOWER[STUDIO PROJECT 2010]
The whole premise of my project was surrounded by the community spaces. I made the building to function as one big community. I started with minor common areas between dorm rooms, then into a larger scale; between two floors. Then to go even further i made even larger community spaces to bring the whole building together.
