Safety & Health Activity Initiating actions for Proactive Safety rather than Reactive Safety to improve

EHS culture. Maintaining incident Reports & corrective & preventive actions of the

incident. Strengthening of Work permit system. Capture near miss and motivate employees to identify near miss. Develop

action plan to solve the identified near miss. Coordinate for doing JSA (Job Safety Analysis), Risk assessment & execution

of MOC (Management of change). Participate to carry out HAZOP study of the products. EHS policy implementation in plant. Conduct monthly safety committee meeting. SOP preparation for various EHS (Environment, Health & safety) activities.

Prepare & execute plan for celebration of National Safety week, World environmental day, Road safety week.

Accomplish gap analysis in plant. Maintaining the EHS training matrix & carry out training programs as per

training calendar. Accomplish EHS internal audit of each plants. Coordinate & face external audit. Carry out pre start up safety review. Develop & execute action plan for compliance of various audit findings. Update On site emergency plan on regular basis. Carry out planned & unplanned mock drills and execute the same. employees. Work as active member in mutual aid response group (MARG).

Environmental Activity Management of Effluent Treatment Plant (ETP). Identifying, review and reducing the organization’s environmental risks. Educating staff in environmental issues and responsibilities. Handling of hazardous & non hazardous waste. Coordinate with the third party to carry out environmental monitoring, noise

& illumination survey.

Legal Activity Liaison with Factory Inspector (DISH), Pollution Control Authorities as and

when required. Provide them Compliance report related to their Inspections / Visit or any queries raised by them.

Fulfilling the statutory requirements pertaining to the industrial safety, health & environment.

Updating applicable acts / regulations in handling of hazardous chemicals / substances.

Assisting in Preparation / submission work of environment report (statement), Cess returns, Water / Air & Hazardous waste Consent for renewal to State Pollution Control Board.

Coordinate with maintenance team for regular testing of pressure vessel, lift, hoist, lifting tools & tackles.

Coordinate with fire department for getting fire NOC.

Other activity Doing EHS budget for unit & executing it. Checking budget adherence on

monthly basis. Prepare Management Information System (MIS) reports of EHS for unit.
