COVER LETTER FOR JOB POSTINGMay 31, 2009
Human ResourcesSAP Labs Canada
Dear Human Resources Manager,
Having learned through the McGill’s Engineering Career Centre that SAP is seeking an intern to design and develop a demo
application for a Web, I would like to express my interest in this position. As a dynamic individual who thrives on new challengesand someone with experience using JavaScript and knowledge of new Web 2.0 technologies, I believe that I would make effectivecontributions to your team.
I am a third year Software Engineering student at McGill University and my interest in this position has been stimulated through
courses I have taken in software, database and web-based application design. Additionally, I have considerable experience inJava, C, and C++ and my academic training has provided the necessary knowledge to use and understand high level languages,service-oriented architecture (SOA), and object oriented designs. For example, I recently redesigned the website for the McGillOutdoors Club (using Flash), and developed and implemented a wiki and online payment registration system for its members. This has facilitated their record management system and allows their 300+ members to share their comments and suggestions foroutings.
I am a self-motivated individual who can work well with people, communicate with ease, grasp and expand on new ideas, workthrough difficult projects, and achieve objectives. I am available for either a 4 or 8 month internship. I look forward to speakingwith you in the near future.
Sincerely,
Daniel Wang
