Performed power system short circuit and load flow study, using ETAP software, for a radiation waste remediation facility. With team to get UL approval for radiation hardened electrical and mechanical equipment for facility. Used AutoCAD. This was a short term assignment. Aug. 2008 to Nov. 2008 : Assignment to AMEC in Phoenix AZ.

Aug. 2008 to Nov. 2008: Assignment to AMEC in Phoenix AZ.Designing power and power control systems and coordinating with vendors and customer, Adanac, Canada, for copper and Moly, a 35MW mining project in British Columbia. Used ETAP software for power system short circuit and co-ordination. Used AutoCAD. Left for budget reasons.

March 2008 to Aug. 2008: Assignment to United Refinery Company in Warren, PA.As a Project Engineer , responsible for several electrical designs and installations of improvement projects within the plant. Included gasoline sulfur reduction, alky. upgrade, ethanol transfer and storage planning. Involved with power distribution, motor controllers and buckets and instrumentation. As Field Engineer, directed and answered questions of contractors.

March 2007 to March 2008: Assignment to Ambitech, Maryland Heights, MO. As an Electrical Engineer was responsible for designing MCC and power distribution, lighting system, and controls for a four tank, 98 thousand barrel Ethanol distribution terminal. Field work was required in planning and meeting with utility. As a Project Engineer , was responsible for budget and technical decisions for an electrical utility project to install permanent 480V welding panels at the coal fired power plant for scheduled maint.

Aug. 2006 to Feb. 2007: On assignment to CDG Engineers, Architects, Planners, Inc., St. Louis, MO. As an Electrical Engineer, was responsible for industrial facilities power distribution design, calculations of loads, panel board schedules, wiring diagrams and lighting design for coal mining upgrades in hazardous locations. MVMCC and MCC design. Included up to 1500hp motors with VFD drives.

July 2006 to Aug 2006: On assignment to Benham, Creve Coeur, MO.As an Electrical Engineer, responsible for lighting design for a bio-diesel industrial project, class I, div. 2 hazardous building. Facilities power distribution design and quality control of a GSA facility.

March 2006 to June 2006: On assignment to AMG Engineering, Omaha, NE.As an Electrical Engineer, responsible for facilities design, including power distribution systems, MCCs, sub-stations, cable tray layouts, and lighting for Industrial Ethanol Refinery plants in Nebraska, Iowa, and Tennessee.

June 2005 to Oct 2005: On assignment to BURNS and McDONNELL, St. Louis, MO.As an Electrical Engineer, calculated power and designed lighting for NEC Class I, Division 1 areas for the St. Louis Metropolitan Sewer District.

Jan 2003 to May 2005: Nov 2005 to Feb 2006: Interim Employment: Residential electrical design projects. Hazelwood School District employee. P/T RGIS auditor.

Sept 2002 to Nov 2002: On assignment to G&W ENGINEERING, St. Louis, MO.As an Electrical Engineer, designed power distribution and lighting systems for commercial projects, including banks, assisted care centers, and office buildings.Layout of data and voice communication systems using AutoCAD. Use of NEC.

Sept 2001 to Feb 2002: On assignment to HARRIS GROUP, INC., Denver, CO.As an Electrical Engineer, responsible for power plant layout and design (250 MW). Designed underground duct banks, cable trays, and electrical building. Used AmpCalc software to size cables and determine heating requirements and ampacities.
