• Therefore• Libraries in Japan sending ILL/DD products
abroad are only University Libraries and the NDL

Brief History of the International ILL service in the NDL
• 1953:We started international photocopy service
• 1960:We joined the IFLA framework of the international loan
• 2002:Kansai-kan launched– NDL-OPAC opened on the Internet– User Registraton started→ILL/DD service via NDL-OPAC started

General Information on ILL/DD service
Photoduplication Service
• User Registration is required
• Copy Method : Photocopy or Microfilm printing
• Shipping Method: Postal Mail only
• Please note: we are not allowed to scan materials and send users PDFs via e-mail
Interlibrary Loan Service
• In addition to the following user registration, “User Registration for ILL” is required
• Not all NDL materials are loanable
• The items must be read only in a reading room of the requesting library

• The search target contains 100 databases, amounting to some 80 million data
