ACTIVITIES FOR KIDSKids For All Seasons at Four Seasons Resort

Costa Rica offers exciting adventures for

children ages 4 to 12 years. Our complimentary

program includes indoor and outdoor activities

conducted by our professionally qualified staff.

In this beautiful setting, children are immersed

in the culture of Costa Rica and learn about

nature first hand.

Upon arrival at the Resort, your children will

be presented with a special welcome amenity

and an invitation to join Kids For All Seasons.

The programme offers a weekly schedule of

events, featuring physical activities, as well

as arts and crafts. Supervised explorations take

children in search of local insects, reptiles and

plants. Other planned activities include a hermit

crab hunt, treasure collecting on the beach,

sandcastle building, bird-watching and soccer.

For indoor fun, they’ll find a wide selection

of movies, games and puzzles. Our recreation

room is complete with a ping pong table, and an

entertainment system. At the end of a fun filled

day, kids can relax by their own private pool.

Join the fifth anniversary celebrations of

our renowned enviro-education programme,

Eco Camp Papagayo, which whimsically

teaches kids about the beauty of the flora

and fauna within our Resort’s lush landscape.

Campers will enjoy interactive, hands-on

activities and exciting field trips designed

to teach respect for the environment

and understanding of the role nature plays

in daily life. Each day, kids ages 4 to 11

along the hillsides and staircases that connect

our property. There are 700 steps to climb,

presenting gorgeous views and encounters

with local residents, such as howler monkeys

and white-face monkeys. Please wear closed-

TRAIL OF THE GIANTS

For guests of all ages who are interested

in panoramic vistas, wildlife spotting and

a tour of Peninsula Papagayo's biodiversity

without having to play 18 holes on our

signature Arnold Palmer golf course. Hop

on a golf cart – driven by our expert guide –

and be dazzled by amazing views of the

natural landscape, while learning about the

POTTERY IN PARADISE

Learn how to make your own piece of

authentic Costa Rican pottery. In this

Scientists from all over the world come

to Palo Verde National Park and Wildlife

Refuge to study its rich ecosystem of rivers,

marshlands, mangroves and dry forest,

where crocodiles, monkeys and iguanas

make their homes. The leafless trees

in this dry tropical forest make it easy

to view up to 300 species of birds. Go back

in time by visiting La Casa del Sanbanero

restaurant and taste the traditional treats

of Guanacaste.

A rare Costa Rican gem, Rio Perdido

Hot Springs offers a thermo-mineral gorge

with natural springs, as well as hiking,

mountain biking, climbing, rappelling,

horseback riding, rafting and much

more. It’s set on a 200-hectare (500-acre)

reserve with beautiful trails, hanging

bridges and stunning panoramic lookouts.

CANYON TOUR AT GUACHIPELIN SUNDAYS AND TUESDAYS

In the vast canyon at Guachipelin, you have

the opportunity to canopy and rappel, engage

in wall climbing and swing like Tarzan through

the jungle. Take a horseback ride to a lookout

point for amazing views of the Rincón de

la Vieja volcano. You also have the chance

to take a refreshing dip in the cool waters

of La Chorrera waterfall. Guests aged 12 and

older are welcome to enjoy this tour. This tour

ADRENALINE ADVENTURE DAY

Rev up your adrenaline with Costa Rica’s

most incredible zip-lining experience – just

20 minutes by water taxi from Four Seasons.

Harness up and slide along a series of cables

suspended above jungle valleys. Nylon cords

allow faster flying, and there’s a dual line so

two people can share the experience! Try the

Superman Line, the Tarzan Swing and the

Walking Bridge, a zip-line on a hanging bridge

suspended over a bed of crocodiles. Horse-

back riding is also available.

TURTLE WATCHING

Costa Rica is a sea turtle paradise. In this half-

day excursion, enjoy a turtle observation tour

to Playa Real or Bahia de los Piratas. You’ll

spot leatherback turtles, black turtles and

Olive Ridley turtles in their natural environment.

BIRD WATCHING

Take a three-hour guided hiking tour at Santa

Rosa National Park, the largest tropical dry

forest in Central America and a designated

UNESCO World Heritage site. The park is

home to over 250 species of birds.

Located close to the majestic crater

of Rincón de la Vieja – Guanacaste’s

largest active volcano – Sensoria is a

natural treasure that even Costa Ricans

springs, deliciously warm thermal pools,

and the chance to see Costa Rica’s

famed wildlife, protected in this private

Explore the charming colonial city of Granada

in the neighbouring country of Nicaragua.

Visit the San Francisco Convent, which holds

a large collection of stone sculptures dating

back to pre-Hispanic times. After lunch at

a local restaurant, you will be driven to the

active Masaya volcano, where you can stand

right at the edge of the immense crater.

Before the drive back to Costa Rica, you’ll

stop at the picturesque Indian Market at

Masaya, where you can shop for unique arts

and crafts, souvenirs and leather goods.

one of Peninsula Papagayo’s highest

plateaus, overlooking the jewelled waters

of Bahía de Culebra. Spectacular water

views await you at 14 of the 18 holes.

POOLS & BEACHESAt the heart of our Resort – right between

our two beaches, Playa Blanca and Playa

Virador – we have three swimming pools.

It’s a lush oasis, featuring beautiful greenery

and spacious pool decks with abundant

chaises longues. In addition, we have a

separate children’s pool.

TICO’S POOL

Our 1,000-square-metre (10,765-square-

foot) freshwater main pool, Tico’s is joined

by a nearby whirlpool grotto. Enjoy an

aquatic workout or relax in comfort, as

Four Seasons attendants bring cocktails

and complimentary fruit, water and

other cool treats.

BLANCA POOL

The lively Blanca Pool overlooks Playa

Blanca, our activities beach. Surrounding

the pool are 70 chaises longues, with

a table and umbrella for every two chairs.

Attendants assign chairs on a daily

first-come, first-served basis. Our pool

attendants offer food and beverage

service, and complimentary sunblock

and aloe vera gel, in addition to water

infused with tropical fruit.

QUIET POOL

With colourful views of Playa Virador, our

adults-only Quiet Pool features exclusive

service, private cabanas and spa services,

including poolside massage.

KIDS FOR ALL SEASONS POOL

At the Kids For All Seasons facility,

children enjoy their own 50-square-metre

(540-square-foot) swimming pool

with a shallow beach-style entrance,

along with adult-size chaises longues in

the nearby shade. Pool toys are available.

POOL CONCIERGE

Helping you enjoy the luxury of carefree

days, we have a special concierge team

conveniently located near Tico’s Pool.

On duty daily from 8:00 A.M. – 5:00 P.M.,

they can make dining reservations, book

ocean activities, create customised

adventures, reconfirm airline reservations

and much more.

SEATING GUIDELINES

In an effort to ensure that everyone has an

enjoyable and comfortable experience at

our beach and pools, please be advised of

our chaise longue system. We assign all

chaises longues on a first-come, first-served

basis, at the time you are ready to occupy

the seat. Our pool staff will assist you with

occupying your chaises longues.

Pool and beach chaises will not be reserved

or held at any time, except during our

lunchtime hold period. From 11:30 A.M. –

2:30 P.M. only, your occupied chaises may

be held for up to two hours. Chaises will

not be held or reserved at any other time

through the day. Please advise an attendant

if you are briefly vacating your chaise longue

to ensure we do not reassign it to another

guest. Seating is for Resort guests’ use only.

Experience Costa Rica’s beautiful shorelines

and glide along the tranquil waters that

surround our peninsula. Paddleboarding

offers a versatile workout enhanced by vistas

of our bio-diverse waterscapes. On select

SUNSET CATAMARAN TOUR OF THE GULF OF PAPAGAYO

A sunset catamaran cruise provides a

relaxing way for couples and families to

explore the Gulf of Papagayo. On a luxury

14-metre (47-foot) catamaran – boarded

right at our Resort’s beach – set out on

a cruising adventure to see ocean wildlife

and jungle shoreline. This four-hour

experience includes snacks, beverages

Since 2001, Peninsula Papagayo – the

ownership group of Four Seasons Resort

Costa Rica – has managed an award-winning

social responsibility outreach program

called Creciendo Juntos (Growing Together).

The program gives Four Seasons guests

rewarding volunteer opportunities within

the local community, creating a more

meaningful travel experience.

Whether you’re coming to Four Seasons

for a family trip or a corporate team-

building effort, we can custom-design a

volunteer experience based on your goals,

donation budget and amount of time

available. You have the opportunity to

get involved in supporting local schools,

conserving the environment, or adopting

a family or a child during your stay.

Volunteer experiences can include reading

to local school children, painting a school,

or even bringing a backpack from home filled

with school supplies. If you or your family

chooses to adopt a family, we hope the bond

HABITAT PRESERVATION INITIATIVEHelp us preserve the flora and fauna

of Peninsula Papagayo by not feeding

the local wildlife. These are generally

shy animals who feed on the fruit trees

surrounding our property. When fed by

humans, it alters their natural feeding

behaviour. They become dependent

on people, and can become bold and

aggressive. Please help us keep them

shy and wild!

RESORT INFOGROUND TRANSPORTATION

AIRPORT TRANSFERS

For a hassle-free arrival experience

in Costa Rica, you can book a private

transfer from the airport in a taxi or

luxury SUV. The transfer time from Daniel

Quiros International Airport Liberia

(LIR) to the Resort is approximately

35 minutes. Private transfers are available

for USD 195 each way, for up to five

passengers. To book a transfer, please

contact our concierge team and provide

your flight details at least 24-hours prior

to arrival. Please be aware that there is

a 24-hour cancellation fee for both arrival

and departing transportation.

We also offer a shared, air-conditioned

Four Seasons shuttle bus for a one-way

rate of USD 45 per person. Children five

years of age and under are complimentary.

This service is based on availability.

Reservations may be made through the

concierge team. The shuttle runs daily

during peak hours only. Please note that

this service is not available for afternoon,

evening or domestic flights.

VALET PARKING

For your convenience during your

visit with us, we offer complimentary

overnight self-parking and valet parking.
