WORK PROG1W11'·'.IE 1'JID BUDGET FOR THE TEl"\JTH FIN!J~CiliL PERIOD 1978/79

THE ASSEMBLY,

RECALLING Article 16 0£ the IMCO Convention and in particulcx

paragraph (f) thereof with recard to the functions of the Assenbly

in relation to the budget,

NOTING that the provisions of Article III of the Financial

Reg1.llations with rega.xd to th~ preparation of the budgot estimates,

including details of the work prograrJIJ.e and appropriate infomation

annexes, have been conplied with,

RECfj.LLTI~G that, in accordance with Resolution A.lOO(IV), the

disposal of any aooui~t standin0 to the credit of the PrintinG Fund

at the end of a financial period shall be decided by the Assenbly,

liPPROVES the work proQTamme as subnitted by the Secretary-General

in docunents C XXXVIII/15, L. X/21 and A x/21/1,

FURTHER APPROVES the list of neetings and of posts contained

in Annexes A and B respectively of this Resolution,

RESOLVES that:

(1) For the financial period 1978/79 appropriations are hereby voted for the following purposes:

(2) The appropriations voted in paracr.raph (1) above shall be financed

by contributions froo Monber Sta.tes after adjustnent as provided in

the Financial Regulations; for this purpose niscollaneous incooe is

estioated at $247,000;

( 3) Transfers of uncor:ioi ttod balances of appropriations to the sane

section o:f the bud6et in the second.calendar year other than those

authorized by Article IV of.the Fincµicial Regulations. and transfers

of appropriations between aectiono of the budcet, shall only be carried

out with prior concurrence of the Council; .

(4) In respect of each of the calendar years 1978 mid 1979 covered by

the financial period, the approved oeetinG'S shall be as shown at

Annex A; the approved posts as at llll!lox B; and the appropriations shall

be those indicated under the rolevnnt headinffS as at llll!lex C;

(5) The anount sto.ndinc to the credit of the ·Printinc Fund at the end

of the financial period 1976/77 shall be carried forward to the Printing

Fund for the finti.ncial period 1978/79,

INVITES the attention of Council to the above-ncntioncd provisions,

REQUESTS the Secretary-General to ensure their applicD.tion while

endeavourinc to effect the naxrnnn economies on the budc;ct,
