Metal Repair Systems – repair worn metal surfaces
Repair worn cylinder blocks using 101 Metal Repair paste
Repair damaged engine blocks with 101 Metal Repair Paste
Metal Repair Systems – repair worn metal surfaces
Plate bond formed steel plates on to leaking pipework using 101 Metal Repair Paste and then seal using Resimac composite repair systems
Rebuild scored shafts by machining the shaft surface clean and then rebuilding using 101 Metal Repair Paste
Fluid Flow Protection – Rudder Rebuild
Rebuild and Resurface pitted and eroded rudders • Abrasive blast clean the surface to SA2.5 or as near as possible • Pitting was measured 10mm deep • Rebuild with 101 Metal Repair Paste • Machine down to a smooth finish • Resurface using 203 Super Flow Coating • Rudder was coated in Jan 2011, ship docked in June 2013, no remedial work was needed • Application was overseen by Lloyds Register • Eradicated need for welding or bonding of steel plates
Fluid Flow Protection – Bow Thruster
Resurface pitted and eroded thruster tunnels • Bow thruster ring had become badly corroded with 5-8mm pitting • Abrasive blast clean the ring to SA2.5 • Fill any pitting and scarring with 201 Ceramic Repair Paste • Resurface and protect with 2 x coats of 202 Ceramic Repair Fluid
Fluid Flow Protection – Bow Thruster Blades
Cavitation attack •Stainless steel blades suffering from cavitation attack • Affected areas were abrasive blast cleaned • Pitting filled using 101 Metal repair paste • 101 Metal Repair Paste was machined down to a smooth finish • Single coat of 202 Ceramic Repair Fluid applied to protect the repair
Fluid Flow Protection – Pump Repair and Protection
Rebuild and Resurface sea water pumps • Corroded and eroded pumps can lose up to 50% efficiency • Resimac ceramic enhanced coatings can upgrade tired equipment • Metallic surfaces must be abrasive blast cleaned • Pitting, scarring, holes must be filled using 201 Ceramic Repair Paste • The pump is resurfaced using 2 x coats of 203 Super Flow
Fluid Flow Protection – Voith unit rebuild and resurface
Protect from sea water erosion and corrosion • Voith unit had been become badly corroded on a tug • Surfaces were re-profiled using 101 Metal Repair Paste • Unit is resurfaced using 2 x coats of 203 Super Flow
Resurface worn surfaces • Sea water filter was situated on a Stena Ferry • The repair crew had only 20 hours to repair the equipment • The filter was vacu blasted • The surface of the filter was filled using 201 Ceramic Repair Paste • Entire internal surface of the filter was coated with 202 Ceramic Repair Fluid
Fluid Flow Protection – Sea Water Filters
Composite Repair Systems – External pipe encapsulation
Multi purpose pipe encapsulation system • Can be used on any diameter and length of pipe • Involved epoxy resin and multiple wraps of glass tape • Can withstand up to 300psi pressure (dependent on surface preparation) • Surface preparation can range from wire brush to mechanical grinding • Proven to extend working life of problem pipework up to 10 years • Eradicates the use of clamps • Can be used to seal long lengths of eroded and porous pipework
Leaking welded seams and pipework • Composite systems are solvent free and are suitable for confined spaces • Tolerant of less than ideal surface prep • Living quarters for the vessel were suffering from multiple leaks • Over 60 repairs carried out during dry dock at Cammell Laird
Composite encapsulation – onboard living quarter
Chemical and Corrosion Protection Systems
Internal Lining of Small diameter pipework • A range of coatings capable of being spray applied to
internal pipe surfaces • Products are also pourable allowing for pipework down to
2” to be internally coated • Chemical and corrosion resistance to sea water or
industrial chemicals • Work carried our for Bibby Ship Management on sea water
lines
Chemical and Corrosion Protection – Anti Slip
Flexible anti slip system • Where rigid epoxy coatings may crack the PU system flexes with steel plate • Applied to a thickness of 3mm • Suitable for foot and road traffic • Capable of withstanding 65ton equipment
