One of the Team-One in a Million”

recognition to those dedicated individuals who

contribute so significantly to the resident’s

quality of life.

Activities: The A-Team Author Unknown

We don’t do windows, and we don’t do beds.

We don’t do laundry, and we don’t do meds.

We are the A-Team, busy as bees.

We are in charge of Activities!

We do arts and crafts and special events.

We do papers, charts, and assessments.

We call bingo. That’s our task.

“What’s the number?” Five times they ask!

We plan special events with food and drink.

Who needs Thick-It? Oh gosh, let me think.

We visit, we talk, we reminisce.

We laugh, we cry, we hug, we kiss.

We are the A-Team. See us smile.

Our job is fun. Our job is worthwhile.

We don’t do windows, we don’t do beds.

We don’t do laundry, and we don’t do meds.

We are the A-Team, busy as bees.

We are in charge of Activities!

January Fun Facts

On average, it is the coldest month of the year

in the Northern Hemisphere.

It is the second month of winter.

In the Southern Hemisphere, January is a

summer month equivalent to July.

For a long period of European History, the start

of the New Year occurred in March.

An Explosive History!

Gasoline, the fuel used in

p r a c t i c a l l y a l l m o d e r n

transportation, was not invented,

but instead it was a natural by-

product of the production of

kerosene and oil.

Produced by distillation, it was

considered a waste product. However, with the

introduction of the automobile and a more

efficient internal combustion engine, gasoline

became the predominant fuel of the 20th

century. Even with new technological

advances, it is still the most used fuel source

around the globe.

Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, January 18th

The function of education is to teach one to think intensively and to think critically. Intelligence plus character — that is the goal of true education.
