Equipment-Room-Free Elevator System
The Elevator Companys Equipment-Room-Free (ERF) Revolution
is a state-of-the-art residential elevator system. Through the
development of cutting-edge technology, The Elevator Company has
effectively eliminated the need for an independent equipment room,
thus removing one of the largest elevator related issues facing design
professionals and homeowners - costly consumption of home square
footage. Traditional elevator systems require a minimum 35 square
feet of dedicated space solely to house equipment. Whether new
home cost is $150.00 per square foot, or $1,500.00 per square foot,
at a 35 square foot savings, the homeowner will surely benefi t from
considerable cost savings, or gain valuable space in their homes.
Table of Contents
W elcome to the first comprehensive residential elevator buyers guide. This guide was intentionally created to educate design professionals, contractors, and homeowners on the features, safety,
style options, and construction of residential elevator systems. This publication is comprehensive
in nature; therefore a table of contents is included so that the reader may pinpoint sections that
represent their highest level of interest. The Elevator Company highly recommends an entire
review of this publication from cover to cover, when compiling research on the design or purchase
of a residential elevator system.
ABOUT THE ELEVATOR COMPANY
About The Elevator Company
The Elevator Companys philosophy began in 1964 with the
founder Larry Hyde, who began selling basic stairway elevators,
vertical platform lifts, and durable medical equipment. Larry
maintained the attitude that no matter what products were
sold, people were his business, and that people deserved
the highest level of service and quality. As the market grew
and evolved, Larry divested the company of all medical
products, and in 1993 focused specifically on residential
elevator systems, continuing to apply the same philosophy.
In 1994, Matthew Hyde (Larrys son), joined the company as
a partner. Today both very active in the daily operations of
the company. Since 1993, they have dedicated their resources
to the expansion of the residential elevator industry. The
company has grown tremendously, acquiring four companies
in the last three years, and opening a total of eight company
owned stores throughout the country. The Elevator Company
is now operating on a national scale, utilizing a registered and
highly qualified dealer network while adding company stores
on a regular basis.
