Sports Marketing Internship Residency Deliverables Job Title: Sports Marketing Executive Organization: HALAX (Hillsborough County Lacrosse Alliance) Department: Marketing & Events Reports To: HALAX Board Deliverables Summary of accomplishments: In my year at HALAX I have gotten hands on experience in a nonprofit organization leading the growth of Varsity High School Lacrosse in Hillsborough county. My role within the marketing and events department was to bring exposure to the sport and the organization’s mission. The overall goal is to create more opportunities for studentathletes to play and grow the audience of the sport. Outcomes: Created twitter in 2013 and as of June 2016 Halax has 327 followers and 1,039 total tweets. Twitter Followers doubled from 150 to over 300 in the 20152016 school year. In the past 6 months (Since the start of 2016) there are 1,864 profile views on average on twitter monthly Created Facebook in Fall of 2015 and as of June 2016 Halax has 196 likes. In the past 6 months (Since the start of 2016) on average Halax Facebook posts have reached 180 people. Some Facebook articles posted reach 9001,000 people. Halax.org was created in February 2013 and in the month of June 2016 there were 95 visits per day on average. In the 20152016 generated our own content to engage the community with lacrosse players and coaches o Q&A with the coaches o Interviews with College Lacrosse Scholarship recipients Florida Lacrosse News also wrote articles featuring HALAX schools wins and losses throughout the season and received recognition from reputable lacrosse organizations on twitter and Facebook. Supported other lacrosse initiatives in the area on social media networks (i.e. Tampa Parks and Recreation Department recruiting HS Lacrosse volunteers) and lead efforts for recruitment of Girls Lacrosse referees. Brainstormed, created, planned and executed an inaugural preseason tournament including 11 out of 12 HALAX teams. The event was sponsored by Play it Again Sports. We raised $3,148 with 740 people in attendance and 20+ Volunteers. CoCoordinated Golf Outing fundraiser with STS organization. Raised $5,316 and organized Chaz Woodson to attend as special guest – he is a Major League Lacrosse player for the Florida Launch in Boca Raton, Florida.
