BBC

The BBC is a British public service broadcaster, being the largest broadcaster

In the world, with around 23,000 staff. They were founded on the 1st January

1927. ‘BBC Magazines’ produce a range of niche magazines, within areas

such as: Adult, Teen, Pre-Teen, Educational & Pre-School. Such magazines

they produce are: Countryfile, Topgear, Its Hot, Doctor Who Adventures,

Learning is Fun! & CBeebies Weekly.

BBC Music Magazine is a magazine published monthly in the United Kingdom

By BBC Worldwide, reflecting mainly BBC Radio 3, and is devoted primarily to

classical music.

EMAP

EMAP International Limited is a British media company, specialising in

business to business magazines. They were established in 1947 and their

Headquarters are in London, United Kingdom. EMAP is an acronym standing

for ‘East Midland Allied Press’.

EMAP have a total of 18 magazines in which they produce, such as:

RetailWeek, Nursing Times, Broadcast, Construction News, Drapers & Shots.

Covering specific content relating to an industry such as nursing, retail &

media.

IPC Media

IPC Media is one of the leading consumer magazine and digital publishers in

the United Kingdom. They were formed in 1963 as International Publishing

Company and currently produce over 60 media brands. Print alone reaching

almost two thirds of UK women and 42% of UK men – almost 26 million UK

adults. Whilst their websites collectively reach over 20 million users every

month. IPC Media have various brands such as NME, Nuts, Soaplife & What's

On TV. The iconic music magazine brand that IPC Media is well known for is

New Musical Express (NME), and their first magazine was published in March

1952. Their genre is largely advertised as Rock which attracts a large mixed

audience. The type of musicians NME host are Kasabian, Kings of Leon, Muse

& The Arctic Monkeys. NME have a website, radio station and a television

channel, and host various awards.

Bauer

Bauer Media Group is a multinational media company headquartered in

Hamburg, Germany. However they operate in 15 countries worldwide. Areas in

which they serve are: Europe, USA, China & Russia.

The Company were established in 1875 and have been privately owned and

under management by the Bauer family. Worldwide circulation of Bauer Media

Group’s magazine titles amounts to 38 million magazines a week.

Bauer have various well known brands, such as: Closer, Heat, Kerrang, Q and

MATCH. Kerrang & Q are Bauer’s two most iconic music magazines. Over 12.4

million people listen to Bauer media radio station, with KISS being their most

highly rated radio station.
