The symbolic procession which materializes Qalisuyan Rituals of Mashad-e Ardehal ofKasan functions in a crucial way to establish and promote rapprochement and peace amongpeople and guarantees social unanimity and sympathy.The previous inscription of the Qalisuyan Rituals on the National Intangible CulturalHeritage List of the Islamic Republic of Iran continues to function as a source of greatencouragement regarding the preservation and guardianship of the ancient ritualistic heritage.However, having been informed of the new decision to inscribe the Qalisuyan Rituals ofMashad-e Ardehal of Kasan at the international level, on the Intangible Cultural Heritage Listof UNESCO, has given rise to great enthusiasm and contentment among us.Expressing support and readiness to collaborate, as well as announcing its full support of theendeavors taken in this regard, this governorship, hereby, announces its free, prior, and

members, as well as the religiouscenters, universities, organizations,councils affiliated to the township, thesocieties of poets and religioussingers, the trusted nobles, etc,collaborate to provide the ground forthe International Inscription ofQalisuyan Rituals of Mashad-eArdehal of Kasan, on the occasion ofthe rituals, through holding urgentspecialized meetings on the specialistand active sides affiliated to them. Theresults of such specialized meetingsshould appear in the form of separateletters addressed to the HonorableChief of Intangible Cultural HeritageSection, UNESCO, requesting for theelement's inscription at theinternational level on the UNESCOIntangible Cultural Heritage List,while presenting arguments on itsvalues. As you are well aware, UNESCO plays a determining role in promoting rapprochement andpeaceful ties among nations throughout the world. Through inscriptions of cultural properties,nations are encouraged to study the capacities of the other countries with regard to theirtangible and intangible heritages. Such acquaintance will, even, be enhanced more throughdirect visits of intangible rituals and traditions.Regarding the deeply rooted history of the Qalisuyan Rituals of Mashad-e Ardehal, Kasan, asa collection of ancient Iranian rituals, and having been informed of a fresh decision toinscribe them on the Intangible Cultural Heritage List of UNESCO, this council, on behalf ofthe people of Kasan, holders and practitioners of the rituals, would like to expresscontentment over the endeavor to present such heritages of more than 1,000 years age to theworld.Expressing gratitude, the Islamic council of the City of Kasan, hereby, declares its readinessto cooperate and collaborate to inscribe the Qalisuyan Rituals at the international level, whichwill contribute to the proper preservation and safeguarding of the ancient heritage.

This is to announce that the QaliSuyan Rituals of Mashad-e Ardehal, Kasan, constitutes atraditional and national collection of ritualistic procedures of the Islamic Republic of Iran,preserved be generations of practitioners throughout its long history. The rituals constitute avaluable heritage which is deeply rooted in the regional culture, beliefs, and traditions. The ritualsboth contribute to safeguard the cultural capacities of the region, and promote rapprochementand peace throughout.Consequently,regarding the fact that the mentioned rituals play a determining role in promotingsocio-culturafrelationships at various levels, we deem that their inscription at the internationallevel will be of great value to the whole region.Expressing itsatisf~ctionon the, event of inscribing QaliSuyan Rituals of Mashad-e Ardehal,Kasan on the Iranian List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage, the Kasan Township Directorate ofCultural Heritage, Handicrafts, and Tourism, hereby,would like to express its free, prior, andinformed consent on the inscription, at the international level, of the element on the UNESCOrepresentative list, and announces, herewith, its readiness to collaborate and support.

Honorable,As you are well aware, the Qalisuyan Rituals ofMashad-e Ardehal, Kasan, has, long, played a crucial

role in establishing and promoting peace and friendship among the people ofthe region, on the onehand, and between them and the spiritual figures, on the other. They have, also, promoted vigorous

ties among people through their shared spiritual backgrounds.Earlier, the inscription ofthe element on the national Intangible Cultural Heritage List ofIran was

welcomed by this office warmly.

Now, this office would like to announce that the new decision to inscribe the Qalisuyan Rituals ofMashad-e Ardehal on the Intangible Cultural Heritage List of UNESCO, will constitute a great step in

the field of culture and art toward the preservation and safeguarding of this ancient Iranian intangible

heritage. Consequently, this office would like to express its eagerness to collaborate and support, aswell as announce free, prior, and informed COJ1sent regarding the inscription of the Qalisuyan Rituals

of Mashad-e Ardehal, Kasan, on the Intangible Cultural Heritage List of UNESCO.

I would like to bring to your notice that the Qalisuyan Rituals of Mashad-e Ardehal, Kasan,eonstitutes a long-rooted tradition of Iran that is practiced during the first decade of Octobereach year, in Mashad-e Ardehal, Kasan.Due to its encompassing two other ritualistic procedures, namely Jar and Jom'e-ye Nasalgiha("Nasalg People's Friday"), during a period of less than three weeks, the Rituals can, even, beinscribed as a chain inscription in the field of Intangible Cultural Heritage at the internationallevel, under the same main registration number, dominating some minor subdivisions.Whatever the decision maybe, the Kasan Directorate of Islamic Propagation, hereby,announces, on behalf of the culturally and religiously based communities of Kasan Township,its free, prior, and informed consent regarding the inscription of the Qalisuyan Rituals ofMashad-e Ardehal, Kasan, on the Intangible Cultural Heritage List of UNESCO.
