Electricity
A type of energy fueled by the transfer of electrons frompositive and negative points within a conductor. Electricityis widely used for providing power to buildings, electricdevices.
Are many types of electricity:
Current electricity is the form of electricity which makes allof our electronic gizmos possible. This form of electricityexists when charges are able to constantly flow.
Circuits
In order to flow, current electricity requires a circuit: aclosed, never-ending loop of conductive material.
Generation Electricity generation is the process of
generating electric power from other sources
of primary energy. The fundamental principles of
electricity generation were discovered during the
1820s and early 1830s by the British
scientist Michael Faraday. His basic method is still
used today: electricity is generated by the
movement of a loop of wire, or disc of
copper between the poles of a magnet.
Who discovered electricity?
Michael Faraday discovered electricity and magnetism.
British physicist and chemist, best known for his discoveries ofelectromagnetic induction and of the laws of electrolysis. Hisbiggest breakthrough in electricity was his invention of theelectric motor.
Born in 1791 to a poor family in London, Michael Faraday wasextremely curious, questioning everything. He felt an urgentneed to know more. At age 13, he became an errand boy fora bookbinding shop in London. He read every book that hebound, and decided that one day he would write a book ofhis own. He became interested in the concept of energy, specifically force. Because of his early reading andexperiments with the idea of force.
Where Does Electricity Come
From?
Power plants make electricity out of other
forms of energy. Most electricity in the U.S.
today comes from converting the heat energy
released from burning fossil fuels--coal, natural
gas and oil. The rest is generated from nuclear
reactors and from renewable sources, such as
sunlight, wind, falling water and geothermal
heat.
How can we conserve energy
at home?
Designate a few rooms as night hangout rooms for your family. Instead of spreading out all over the house, have your family spend
evening hours in just one or two rooms. That
way you won't have to light the whole house to
enjoy the evening, plus you'll have the added
bonus of spending quality time with each
member of the family.
Types of electricity
There are two types of Electricity, Static Electricity and
Current Electricity. Static Electricity is made by rubbing
together two or more objects and making friction while
Current electricity is the flow of electric charge across an
electrical field.
Also you can find others but this one´s are the main types of
electricity.
There are no more types but it exist others but is a little bit
different there is solar energy and other´s more.
