“2nd Technical Paper, Poster & Model Design Contest”

Narula Institute of Technology.

On 10th October 2015 2nd paper, poster , model contest was organized by ISF,ECE, Narula

Institute of Technology.In presence of HOD Dr. Saradindu Panda of ECE department, HOD

Prof. Sumit Nandi of Chemistry Department, HOD Prof. Amlan Chakraborty of EE

Department, HOD Prof. Jayanta Pal of CSE Department and HOD Prof. Bidyut Middya of

IT Department, the contest had been held successfully. HOD Dr. Saradindu Panda gave

inaugural speech which inspired the students. Prof. Sumit Nandi explains the importance of

such events and advised students to engage there. Prof. Amlan Chakraborty congratulated

ECE Department for organizing such beautiful events. Prof Bidyut Middya said that ECE

Department is famous for series of events. Prof. Jayanta Pal delivered the skill development

through these events. Mr. Saptarshi Basak, student of B. Tech ECE 3rd year and Ms.

Soumantika Kundu, student of B. Tech ECE 3rd year anchored the contest. The participants

show great interests in this contest. Time for each participant was of 15 minutes for the paper

contest Ten minutes for representation and five minutes for quentioneer. . They gave their

best in those 15 minutes. Also they answered all the questions asked by the Judges. The

winners were awarded on the basis of marks given by Judges. The contest was highly

encouragement for the students of Narula Institute of Technology. Poster contest was held in

a different room. Quality of poster was excellent. Some of them were hand painted and some

printed. Topics were highly relevant from the point of view of socital as well as technological

basis. In the model contest walking robot was developed by the students. It was really good.

Students represented it nicely. Prof. Pranab Hazra made overall management of this contest.

The program was ended with a vote of thanks by Prof. Sangita Roy.
