Report on BRDB-ROTARY CHILDREN'S RESIDENCE The BRDB-ROTARY CHILDREN'S RESIDENCE (BRCR) is a safe Home built by ROTARY BRDB TRUST, an institution jointly established by The ROTARY CLUB OF KUALA LUMPUR DIRAJA (RCKLDIRAJA) and BANDARAYA DEVELOPMENTS SDN BHD, for Abandoned and Children-in-Need. BRCR is located on a 2.2 acres premise in Seri Kembangan, Selangor, Malaysia. More than just a Home, it is a safe place for young Abandoned and Children-in-Need of ages 4 to 10 years old, to be nurtured and shaped into responsible adults of tomorrow. Report on BRDB-ROTARY CHILDREN'S RESIDENCE

The BRDB-ROTARY CHILDREN'S RESIDENCE (BRCR) is a safe

Home built by ROTARY BRDB TRUST, an institution jointly

established by The ROTARY CLUB OF KUALA LUMPUR DIRAJA

(RCKLDIRAJA) and BANDARAYA DEVELOPMENTS SDN BHD,

for Abandoned and Children-in-Need. BRCR is located on a 2.2

acres premise in Seri Kembangan, Selangor, Malaysia. More

than just a Home, it is a safe place for young Abandoned and

Children-in-Need of ages 4 to 10 years old, to be nurtured and

shaped into responsible adults of tomorrow.

During Rotary year 2016/17, BRCR has been equipped and furnished with

contributions from BRDB, RCKLDIRAJA, many other Rotary Clubs and members of the

public. A Rotary Matching Grant of RM108, 000 was also given by Rotary International

to assist with the purchase of equipment and furnishing the Children's Residence.

Many overseas Rotary Clubs had visited BRCR and given support which we hope will

continue and grow in the coming years.

Rotarians from the Rotary Clubs of Makati, Bangkok, Phuket & Hatyai Nakarin visiting the

Rotary International has approved another grant, a GLOBAL GRANT of USD122, 000

(RM520, 000) for Training Uses for BRCR.

RCKLDIRAJA has organised a fund raising Dinner on 30/4/17 and raised about

RM500, 000 nett which will be donated to ROTARY BRDB TRUST to operate BRCR.

BRCR has started operations with a principal, a welfare officer, 4 house mothers, a cook

and other supporting staff members.

BRCR was finally granted official Permit by the Malaysia Welfare Department (JKMM) in

May 2017 to operate the Children's Residence.

As at Jan 2018, they are 24 Children housed in the Residence and the number of

Children will be gradually increased meeting the approved criteria and operating

procedures of the Standard Operating Procedure approved by the Trustees of Rotary

BRDB Trust.
