Mission Activities

Administrative Part

Mission Goal:

Evaluate the health and medical status in Gaza Strip and find

opportunities to improve the health care needs including

Hospital visits, performing needed surgeries, and offering

educational sessions..

Phase 1: Purchase emergency medical supplies for the Dar Al-Shifa

Medical Complex in the Gaza Strip as follows:

Preparation:

1. Purchase emergency medical supplies for

the Dar Al-Shifa Medical Complex in the

Gaza Strip through a public bid process.

2. PAMA volunteers team prepared a list of

needed medications and medical supplies

based on the needs of

Dar Al-Shifa Medical Complex.

3. Nine offers were submitted, seven out

of the nine offers were considered

4. Final 7 companies were: Zant, Leen,

Sandoqa Mirna Pal, Sitco, Farmashia,

and Limex Company

5. Offers were evaluated based on brands,

prices, expiration dates and time of delivery,

availability of items in stock

6. Winning suppliers were selected based on availability of supplies in their stock in

Gaza for immediate delivery, suppliers with credibility in terms of good quality products

approved by MOH, having long shelf life, fast delivery and compliance with MOH rules

and guidelines.

7. Two suppliers were selected Mirna Pal Company for Medical Supplies and Zant Company for

Medical Supplies and Labs. A technical report was sent to PAMA- Med Global committee to

for final approval.

8. Purchase orders for the two awarded suppliers were prepared for items needed from medical supplies

available in their stock.

Phase 2: Implementation: Purchase of medical supplies

1. Suppliers provided the first purchased batch of medical supplies to warehouse of MOH.

Phase 3: PAMA -Med Global mission headed by Dr. Yousef Khelfa, visited

Gaza hospitals take a closer look at the needs of the patients and the lack of

needed medications, medical supplies and needed equipment.

medical conditions of patients and the

severe shortage of cancer fighting medicines

for young children

Dr. Rami Al-Abadala General Director of

Department of Human Resources and

Development and Mr. Sami Jaber Director of

Human Resources Department to discuss

plans for training nursing staff and improve

their performance

expressed its deep appreciation for PAMA -

Med Global mission.

• The total amount allocated by PAMA for the medical mission is $154,060 US dollars (as a first stage).

• Mirna Pal Company for Medical Supplies was allocated $147,960 US dollars. Company was not able to provide some of the medications

and medical supplies due to limitations from Israeli government. Total amount of supplies not provided is $17,680 US dollars (Attached

letter below) the mount value which is allocated to Mirna Pal for Medical Supplies company become $130,280 US dollars

• Zant Company for Medical Supplies and Labs $ 6,100 US dollars

• The total transferred amount from PAMA is $136,380 US dollars for providing medications and medical supplies
