HOW WE GOT HERE

it’s all about being a {hu}man being afraid of death finding a genius way to flourish then being trapped in our own schemes

We do what we do because we are shoring up against the tides of sickness, sorrow, and death

We were able to do what we do because we abstracted ourselves from being as presenting

Colonizing and Consuming is about thickening our Being

We act like a species driven to extinction by instincts we can redirect but don’t and systems we created ourselves for what we thought was our own good but perhaps isn’t.

The ecological problem and the climate disaster waiting to happen are the fruits of a human hardening into a way of being in the world with others.

It seemed good at the time, but the party’s over

Repentance is the process of awakening to the destructiveness of our present way of being and its rejection.

Rebirth is the process of reevaluating our way of being and choosing to realize our existence more creatively.

Unless there is repentance, there is no possibility of averting disaster.

Beyond making adjustments, we need to radically reform our chosen modes of existence.

Humanity is in need of genuine repentance in order to be reborn
