Mr. President Duane Starr Says…

TC'ers it time for our annual race at ORP. We celebrate Bruce Baggett once again with "Bagg’s Revenge" the first counter clockwise Conference race at ORP.

The Baggs was a proponent of tracks being able to run in both directions. ORP was designed with going both ways in mind. At this point in time ORP is the only bi-directional track in ICSCC!

Our vice-president , Ben Weaver, has designed a great tribute to Bruce Baggett. We have a great T-shirt to commemorate this event. Please help support the t-shirt sales and buy early as there is a limited number. If they sell out we can take orders for more.

All of our race officials have been working very hard to prepare for this race. Please treat them with TLC, as they deserve it. Better yet, roll your sleeves up and find some way to help out. Even if it is just getting someone a drink or give them a break if you can. Being a team is at the core of who we are. I am always amazed by how Team Continental rises to a challenge.

For a good time call 503 982 3313, Paul Evers is looking for instructors on Sept 8. This is a NWAA event, so let's welcome the autocrosser / hillclimers to ORP.

Please take advantage of the great deal on food for the weekend. Buy a food band for all of the meals for $40. You cannot beat this deal. Hurry there is a limit to this as well. Thank you for your support in advance of this great race weekend. Blessings to you, Duane Starr

Reg Pridmore returns with his Class Rides program August 9th & 10th. Rob Burch’s Motofit will be back for another two days August 16-17th Tom Young and Al Edwards team up to bring Pacific Super Sport Riders second event August 23rd.

Motorcycle schools and track days are always well attended and fun to watch. The acceleration off the corners is amazing and the scream of the engines is phenomenal.

With the power of a Corvette in a well thought out chassis that comes in at a ton less than G.M.’s Plastic Pachyderm, this design from Portland’s Dennis Palatov holds the key to serious performance while maintaining reliability.

When Chrysler comes to O.R.P. to play for the evening they bring the good toys!

No shortage of whoa to go with the go. These rotors are only slightly smaller in diameter than the entire wheel on the 1970 version of the Challenger.

The long shadows of evening produce some of the best times at O.R.P. The notes of a well tuned exhaust supplies the perfect accompaniment.

Close enough to the formal product launch to release some unofficial photo’s of the 707 H.P. Supercharged Challenger SRT Hellcat. Below: The inside headlight was eliminated by the factory to gobble up the coldest air available.

Four days before TC hits the track and construction stuff is everywhere . The good news is the

track itself is in great condition and thanks to our CEO / Tractor Driver Tom Miller, the verges are mowed and the business part of the track is better groomed than Bruce ever was. Wish he was here so I could use that line on him. ~Ed.
