Indirect Objects

• The indirect object in a sentences answers the question to whom or for whom in relation to the verb. For example:– I buy the book for my mom.– The direct object is: book– The indirect object is: my mom.

Indirect Object – pick the indirect object in each sentence

• Compramos las verduras para nuestras primas.

• Doy una manzana a mi hija.

• El mesero dice la verdad a las personas.

Indirect Object Pronouns

• We can replace the indirect objects with the following pronouns:

• Me nos• Te• Le les

• Attachment rules are the same: BEFORE the conjugated verb or attached to an: infinitive, “-ndo” ending or a command.

Indirect Object Pronouns

• We can use a pronoun and still include the indirect object in the sentence. For example:

• Le doy una película romántica a mi madre.

• NO RECUERDAS TU “A” PERSONAL.
