Welcome to the first edition of the Repairing the Breach Newsletter!

For such a time as this!!

We are an Isaiah 58 restoration ministry that instructs and disciples in Ancient Paths (aka Hebrew Roots), Biblical Health, and Kingdom Business, through live events, online instruction, and materials in a variety of media.

Repairing the Breach’s mandate is to unify the Body of Messiah through a personal and corporate call to holiness, specifically in the three core areas of life: Relationship with God and man; Health in spirit, soul, and body; and walking out our unique Kingdom Callings.

Our entire family — Chaim, Dr. Kim, and our six homeschooled children — travel and teach for the ultimate purpose of inspiring and helping to raise up Biblical lifestyle communities worldwide that love sacrificially and thereby further the work of repairing the breach.

Yes, it’s a very big vision, but we have a very big God!

Love, Holiness, and Unity are our watchwords and “marching orders”.

Back a couple months ago, as we were both launching Repairing the Breach and preparing to move from Charlotte to Miami, I (Chaim) went on a prayer walk.!Charlotte is a wonderfully beautiful area, and the house we rented there has a greenway and a creek running along the back of the property. It provided a super-convenient way for me to take a nature walk whenever being in a house with six young homeschooled children was not really conducive to having an undisturbed conversation with Abba. !

I’m not sure what was going on in my mind at the time, or what I was petitioning the Most High for, but YHVH spoke into my spirit these three words: LOVE, HOLINESS, and UNITY!And I knew at that moment that Repair ing the Breach had i ts watchwords.!(Chaim the marketing guy would call it our “motto” or “tagline”, but that just doesn’t seem appropriate in this profound instance.)  As I walked along, repeating those three wonderful words over and over again in my mind and with my mouth, it also became clear that this is the exact order in which they are to be understood and applied. !I returned home and immediately shared with Kim what the Almighty had imparted to me about our ministry, and in explaining it (as Kim is such a great muse for me), I received greater clarity.!

What I told her is that these concepts are not just the focus of our ministry, but it is the order -- the pattern -- in which it is to be walked out and realized.!You see, first we need LOVE, real love, from the Father, demonstrated by the finished work of the Son, fully manifested by the indwelling of the Spirit, and then shown abroad to the world in His Name.!Then, and only then, can we walk in H O L I N E S S . G e n u i n e “ s e t -apar tness” f rom th is wor ld , observ ing and guard ing His commands in a way that only those with the Holy Spirit are able. “If you love Me,” Y’shua (Jesus) said, “then keep my commandments.” (John 14:15)!When we truly LOVE, and truly walk in HOLINESS, then, and only then, we will experience true UNITY, both with God and with our brothers and sisters in the faith. !Y’shua told us that the world would know that we are His disciples because of the love that we have for one another. (John 13:35) And that we are to love one another as He has loved us. (John 15:12) !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

LOVE compels us to HOLINESS. As the Spirit takes us through this sanctification process, we become conformed into the likeness of the Son (Romans 8:29), we decrease and He increases, and therefore we arrive at UNITY with Him and each other. !This awesome UNITY comes only through death -- His and ours -- and delivers us unto LIFE, and that more abundantly. (John 10:10)! !Through this process, we “Repair the Breach". All of them. Between man and God, husbands and wives, parents and children, friends and n e i g h b o r s , d e n o m i n a t i o n a l divisions, you name it. Everything!!The order of these words is also crucial, because if you don’t have any one of them, then you MUST back up.!Lacking UNITY? Then you must go back and seek HOLINESS, both individual and corporate.!Lacking HOLINESS, you say? Then go back and experience LOVE, of the Father and Son for you, and you for the brethren.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Repairing the Breach’s calling has as its ultimate goal to bring UNITY to the entire Body of Messiah. So, guess what? To make our foundation sure, Kim and I are now focusing on LOVE. !!Then just yesterday, I was led in my Bible study to John 14:23…!“Y’shua said, ‘If anyone loves Me, he will keep My word; and My Father will love him, and We will come to him and make Our home with him.’”!Wow, there it is! We LOVE Him, so we keep His word (HOLINESS), and then He and the Father manifest that LOVE back to us by bringing their absolute Oneness (UNITY) to live inside us through their indwelling Spirit. Powerful!!!Oh wait, my Bible has a footnote for John 14:23.!It states, “This single verse summarizes the entire Messianic Scriptures!”!Halleluyah!!I think we’re on to something very big here!!!!

Dr.  Kim  and  Chaim  Goldman  are  Jewish  Believers,  American  and  Israeli  ci1zens,  and  passionate  and  entertaining  storytellers.    

Over   the   course   of   their  marriage,   the   restora1on  ministry   of   Isaiah   58   that  was   first   revealed   to  Chaim   has   con1nually   grown   stronger   in   both   of   them,   and   has   taken   on   an   ever-­‐deepening  meaning.   This   includes   embracing   a   Biblically-­‐based   lifestyle   in   all   areas,   which   bears   much   fruit  every  day.

My grandma just turned 100 years old in April. ONE HUNDRED!   

I am so glad that all eight of us were able to be with her at her big celebration party in Miami, along with so many other family members who travelled to join her as well. What an awesome reunion!

My grandmother has four children, 11 grandchildren, and a whole bunch of great-grandchildren. (Chaim and I have definitely done our part to supply her with many of those!) She is still sharp-minded, a great conversationalist, and I’ve always admired her ability to identify any of her grandchildren by voice only. All I have to say is, “Hi, Grandma” when she answers the telephone, and she knows it's me. Amazing when you think about how many people greet her the same way.

One of the qualities I most enjoy about my grandmother is her peaceful, sweet nature. She truly lives by the phrase “If you can't say something nice, then don't say anything at all”. This certainly has come in handy for her in her showing love for me, despite her lack of understanding regarding the lifestyle choices I have made. She has never agreed with my outlook on health and healing, nor does she understand my belief in Y’shua. But she loves me and my family and has always shown it.

I am grateful for the opportunity we have while in South Florida to spend time with her. I am sure that my children will remember this time of getting to know their great grandmother, and I pray that the love of Messiah shines through us to her and the rest of our extended families.

I (Kim) grew up in Miami.  In fact, when I was born my parents lived in this very same apartment in which we are now blessed to be staying. So for me, learning how to swim early was just part of life. Chaim's family also was very active on the water with boating and swimming year in and out. So when we began having children while living in Israel, we realized that we would need to put effort into providing them with opportunities to learn to swim. Except it didn't really happen.  Jerusalem’s an hour from the coast, and it’s not like there are swimming pools everywhere around there like here in South Florida!

Well, now we are back in Miami for a season, the time has come for all the children to become fantastic swimmers!  Spring and summer in Miami Beach is definitely a great place to be; believe it or not, the sea breezes actually keep it quite comfortable.  We have a wonderful pool at the apartment building where we are staying, and we are within walking distance of the beach, which is super-cool.

So in-between the homeschooling, the seemingly never-ending unpacking, and the decluttering for our future travel plans (yes, we still have way too much stuff!), we are working on improving those swimming skills in the children and enjoying what South Florida has to offer.

A story: just before we headed out to our first beach day here, Chaim asked Calev (2 ½) what he thought he'd see at the beach. His answer: “Crabs, fish, and a pelican. Not two pelicans, just one.” I just love that curly-haired cutie pie!

BABY-STEPS TO HEALTH � PLEASE  PRAY

We have babies. Six of them. And while only one is not-quite potty trained (he’ll be three in August), I (Kim) have continual “little ones on the brain”, even when it comes to other life topics such as health.!

When a baby learns to walk, it doesn't all happen overnight.  In stages he first rolls over, then sits up, then crawls, then cruises. One day he takes a step all by himself, and then will most often fall right down. He usually gets right back up, though, and needs no encouragement.!

I've never once had the urge to throw my hands up in disgust and say (or even think), “You are NEVER going to learn to walk!” No, of course not.!

Making changes a little at a time while establishing a solid foundation is a solid Biblical principle. Isaiah writes: “For it is precept upon precept, precept upon precept, line upon line, line upon line, here a little, there a little.”!

And Zachariah instructs us to “Not despise the day of small beginnings.”!

Should we have any less patience with ourselves when working to improve our personal lifestyle habits then we do with our babies?!

Most of us know which basic actions are necessary to establish health. Things like: some form of exercise, drinking water instead of other beverages, getting plenty of sleep, eating fresh fruits and veggies while avoiding junk foods....these are almost common sense. And yet, so many of us get caught up in things like deciding whether to buy a reverse osmosis as opposed to an alkalizing water machine, when we are not even drinking enough water each day, spending time in prayer, laughing much, or getting outside for some fresh air and sunshine.!

At this precise moment, it is 7:22 am. At 7:30 I’m scheduled to go exercise for 30 minutes. But I’m tempted to push that off and stay at the computer to keep writing and editing this article about health, while ignoring my own health. Ironic, huh? Which one will I choose....!

Stick to consistent baby-steps for establishing lifelong healthy habits.!

OK, done!  I’m outta here!! !
