ThermowellsThermowells should be used whenever the stem or bulb would be exposed to pressure, corrosion, orshear forces. Thermowells also make it possible to remove the thermometer without losing pressure orcontents. (See pages 14-15 for more details)

Any REOTEMP 3”, 4” or 5” dial bimetal thermometer (except Model DM4)can be silicone filled, in any stem length, and any temperature range up to550° F. (Silicone filling with ranges over 550° F not recommended.) Allsilicone-filled thermometers come with a durable polycarbonate crystal.

REOTEMP Silicone-filled thermometers are offered for severe industrial applications,where vibration is a problem. Silicone dampening prolongs instrument life by prevent-ing wear and fatigue in the instrument’s internal parts. The silicone also improvesreadability by reducing pointer flutter, and promotes faster temperature response.

REOTEMP DUAL MODE THERMOMETER (model DMT) is a convenient, multipurpose indicator forlocal and remote temperature monitoring. This rugged dual-sensor system puts TWO SENSORS inONE THERMOWELL, and allows easy tie-in to process control. Both sensors are NIST traceable,and easily calibrated. Theseinstruments are ideal for remote reading, such aspanel installations, with capillary lengths of 1 to100 feet.Being vapor actuated, they are not subject toindicator error due to ambient temperature varia-

Features include high accuracy, low ambienterror, no head error, and a high degree ofover-range protection. The compact (3/8” dia.x 3” active length) bulb, and a wide range ofcase styles and thermal systems, allow greatflexibility in installation.

The linear dial on all REOTEMP gas thermom-eters provides a consistent 1% accuracyacross the full span of each range. This,combined with over twenty Fahrenheit anddual ranges, from -320 F to +1200 F, providescomplete coverage of all normal temperaturerequirements.

SpecificationsAccuracy: +/- 1 % of full scale. Calibration to NISTtraceable standards.
