This Works Program initiative is being delivered at Playford Alive in partnership with: Women In Civil Live Training Site Program Renewal SA’s Works Program proudly supports training and employment initiatives for local people. The Women in Civil Live Training Site Program is being delivered at Playford Alive in partnership with the Northern Economic Plan; an initiative of the Department of State Development, Civil Train SA, Status Employment Services, Northern Futures and WorkReady. Specifically targeting women over 17 years from the Playford Alive area and the wider northern suburbs. Participants should be keen to work outdoors, have a reasonable level of fitness and not be currently enrolled in school. This Program will: ^ deliver a Certificate II in Civil Construction (RII20713); ^ deliver tickets and/or experience in: • White Card - Work Safely in the Construction Industry [CPCCOHS1001A] • Provide First Aid [HLTAID003] – trained and assessed by St John (RTO code: 88041) • Work Zone Traffic Management: - Implement Traffic Management Plan [RIIWHS302D] - Control Traffic with Stop-slow Bat [RIIWHS205D] • Operate Elevating Work Platform (below 11 meters) [RIIHAN301D] • Work Safely at Heights [RIIWHS204D] • Enter and Work in Confined Spaces [RIIWHS202D] • Support Plant Operations [RIICCM206D]; ^ provide hands-on experience on a construction site to develop new skills to improve future job opportunities; ^ provide language, literacy and numeracy support for eligible participants; and ^ work experience and employment networking opportunities following completion. This Program will commence on Monday 4 April 2016 and runs Monday to Friday, 8:00 am – 4:00 pm for six weeks. Training is held at CCF House, Thebarton. Live working experience is offered at Central Districts Calvary Hospital, Elizabeth Vale. Eligibility criteria apply. WHEN: This is a two hour information session. Tuesday 15 March at 2:00 pm.
