Renewable Heat ProductsPellet Stoves
Why Buy a Pellet Stove?Pellet stoves burn compressed wood or biomass pellets to create a source of heat. By slowly feeding fuel automatically from the storage container (the hopper) into the burn tray, a constant flame is created and monitored to ensure maximum efficiency.
Specflue's pellet stoves offer:
• Low power consumption and high efficiency• Easy to use - fully operated via a user friendly
control panel or remote control• Modern design - steel and cast iron• Available in a variety of stylish colours• Powerful yet quiet• Programmable room thermostat (optional)• Compatible with the RHI (Renewable Heat Incentive Scheme)
and MCS (Microgeneration Certification Scheme) - Hydro models only
• Defra approved for burning wood pellets in smoke controlled areas• Fully supported by field engineers
• A more efficient alternative to wood burning stoves
Pellet StovesWhat is Biomass? The use of biomass in heating systems is hugely beneficial. It uses agriculture and forest waste and residues to produce heat with substantially less effect on the environment than traditional fossil fuels.
In nature, when wood completes its decomposition cycle, CO² is released into the atmosphere, which is then absorbed by plants via photosynthesis. The quantities of CO² released into the atmosphere during the natural process of decomposition, exactly match the amount of carbon that the plant has absorbed during its growth. Making the entire process carbon neutral.
All Specflue biomass products simply move the heat produced by biomass to the locations where energy is needed, without releasing new or differing quantities of CO² into the atmosphere than wood releases naturally during decomposition.

To qualify for the RHI payments you must have your property assessed by a Green Deal Advisor to ensure it meets minimum energy efficiency requirements. From this you will receive an EPC (Energy Performance Certificate)
Select your preferred renewable heating technology and have it installed by an MCS qualified installer
For a period of seven years, you will receive a fixed amount at regular intervals. The amount received will depend upon the kW hours stated on the EPC. Tariffs will change annually in line with the Retail Price Index (RPI)
The domestic Renewable Heat Incentive (RHI) is a government scheme which financially rewards the homeowner, for installing renewable heating technologies in their property
