Sunview’s Buckingham ECO Patio Door shares many similarities to Sunview’s Buckingham and Victorian Patio Door. The main difference between the specimens is the Buckingham-Eco Patio Door uses a rice hull wood composite reinforcement in the header and jamb frame instead of pine reinforcement (as in the Buckingham Patio Door). The Victorian Patio Door header and jamb profiles are comprised of an all-vinyl extrusion. The frame profile outline for all the sliding doors is identical. The door panels are identical with respect to the drainage, the fasteners, the weatherstrip, the glazing, the sill and the hardware.

The difference between the Buckingham, Buckingham-Eco and Victorian door frame are outlined in the table below:

Buckingham Patio Door Buckingham-Eco Patio Door Victorian Patio Door

Frame Jamb is comprised of a rigid vinyl extrusion (Vision Extrusions Limited Part no. E107A04) and a SPF wood reinforcement (Vision Extrusions Limited Part no. W107C01 ) Frame Header is comprised of a rigid vinyl extrusion (Vision Extrusions Limited Part no. E107A05) and a SPF wood reinforcement (Vision Extrusions Limited Part no. W107C01 )

Frame Jamb is comprised of a rigid vinyl extrusion (Vision Extrusions Limited Part no. E107A04) and a ricehull wood composite reinforcement (Vision Extrusions Limited Part no. 3643) Frame Header is comprised of a rigid vinyl extrusion (Vision Extrusions Limited Part no. E107A05) and a ricehull wood composite reinforcement (Vision Extrusions Limited Part no. 3643)

Frame Jamb is comprised of a rigid vinyl extrusion (Vision Extrusions Part no. E107A09) Frame Header is comprised of a rigid vinyl extrusion (Vision Extrusions Part no. E107A10)

The Buckingham Patio Door was physically tested in 2014 in accordance with AAMA/WDMA/CSA 101/I.S.2/A440-11 and CSA A440S1-09. It is referenced in Intertek report 101308865TOR-002A. An engineering evaluation qualifying the Victorian Patio Door was also conducted by Intertek and is referenced in Intertek report 101155154TOR-001A. The engineering evaluation demonstrated that the Victorian and Buckingham Patio Doors would exhibit similar test attributes and identical performance grades with respect to the tests outlined in AAMA/WDMA/CSA 101/I.S.2/A440-11 and CSA A440S1-09 (Operating force, air leakage, water penetration resistance, structural performance using uniform load, forced entry resistance and deglazing).

The performance of the Buckingham-Eco Patio Door was evaluated based on the test conducted on the Buckingham Patio Door. The significance and impact of substituting the rice hull and pine reinforcement for each test attribute is discussed below:

● Operating Force

Factors that affect the operating force of the door include 1) Weatherstrip details, 2) Roller hardware, 3) Interlocking details These above-mentioned factors that affect Operating Force do not change with the substitution of the Buckingham-Eco frame reinforcement. The panels of both doors are also identical. Therefore, the Operating Force performance of the Buckingham Patio Door can be applied to the Buckingham-Eco Patio Door.

Page 10: RENDERED TO Sunview Patio Doors Limited 500 Zenway Blvd ...Anti-lift block: Extruded rigid vinyl anti-lift block was installed at the mid span of the header track fastened to the header

Sunview Patio Door Limited February 25, 2016 Report Number 101155154TOR-001B ECO

Intertek Testing Services NA, Ltd. Page 10 of 34

● Air Leakage and Water Penetration Resistance

Since the frame profiles of the Buckingham Patio Door frame and the Buckingham-Eco Patio Door frame are identical, including the drainage holes and weatherstrips, the air and water leakage performance of the Buckingham Patio Door can be applied to the Buckingham-Eco Patio Door.

● Structural Performance using Uniform Load

The Buckingham Patio Door and the Buckingham ECO Patio Door use identical panels. The anchoring method to the outside frame is identical with either product. The ECO block has equivalent ability to resist lateral movement of an anchor screw fastened into it as the pine reinforcement (in the Buckingham Patio Door) and vinyl extrusion (in the Victorian Patio Door). Therefore the use of the ECO block in the Buckingham-Eco Patio Door will yield similar structural performance results as the Buckingham Patio Door

● Forced Entry Resistance

The Buckingham Patio Door and the Buckingham ECO Patio Door use identical panels. The thickness of the ECO block is similar to the pine reinforcement and its ability to resist movement when under pressure is the same. Also, the ability to resist forced entry during the Disassembly testing is reliant on the anchoring screw that fastens the lock keeper, which is normally anchored into the wood buck. The ECO block or pine reinforcement has little effect on the withdrawal of the fastener anchoring the keeper. Therefore the use of the ECO block in the Buckingham ECO Patio Door will yield similar structural performance results as the Buckingham Patio Door

● Deglazing

The frame detail of a sliding door has no influence on the Deglazing test. The Buckingham-Eco Patio Door and the Buckingham Patio Door use identical panels and therefore the test results achieved with the Buckingham Patio Door can be applied to the Buckingham-Eco Patio Door.

Based on the information presented in this evaluation, it is Intertek professional judgment that the Buckingham-Eco Patio Door can achieve identical ratings and designations as the Buckingham Patio door as evaluated to the test requirements of AAMA/WDMA/CSA 101/I.S.2/A440-11 and CSA A440S1-09. Refer to Section 6 for the ratings.
