OCS monitors driving conditions that directly affect the quality of your engine oil, protecting your engine from excessive wear and possible bearing failure. Under certain conditions; low speeds, heavy traffi c, door-to-door deliveries (engine turning with little distance travelled) or in high gear for long periods; sport driving, towing a caravan/trailer over 500kg (engine turning at higher revolutions), the vehicle’s service interval may be shortened and you will be alerted, via the instrument panel service indicator, that a Renault Service is required earlier (refer to Driver’s Handbook for details).

RENAULT ACCIDENT SUPPORT LINE - 0800 085 8005The Renault Accident Support Line (RASL) is a dedicated service from Renault for all Renault drivers and their families, no matter what car they drive. This service is available at no cost to you, regardless of fault. RASL will deal with every aspect of your claim, from ensuring you are recovered to a Renault Approved Accident Repair Centre to dealing with all insurance companies giving you total convenience and peace of mind. 0800 085 8005 is the only number you need so please programme it into your phone and make sure that in the event of an accident you call us fi rst and we will take care of everything.

To drive a Renault Mégane 2012 is to feel dynamism and control going hand in hand, in one unique sensation. That’s thanks to an even more efficient and powerful engine range now with three more Stop & Start engines – two diesels (dCi 110 and 130 hp) and one petrol (TCe 115). All perfectly combine driving pleasure and best possible fuel consumption, with technological innovations born of Renault’s expertise in F1, like Stop & Start and regenerative braking. So, for example, the new dCi 110 Stop & Start diesel engine has a unique blend of spirited performance with combined fuel consumption at 80.7 mpg (3.5 l/100km). This also cuts CO2 emissions to 90 g/km, a decrease of 16 g compared to the previous engine – and, more importantly, qualifying for zero Road Tax. Driveability’s improved, too. Engine power stays unchanged at 110 hp, but there’s even more generous torque of 260 Nm (+20 Nm), available from 1750 rpm for rapid overtaking and responsive acceleration. Allied with reduced sound levels, this engine makes every trip more peaceful and pleasant. Power, control, economy... the pleasure of driving is even greater when it leaves less of a footprint.

1. ESC (ELECTRONIC STABILITY CONTROL)With an ASR traction control system and CSV understeer control, your Mégane’s stability is a priority in diffi cult road conditions.

2. BI-XENON DIRECTIONAL HEADLIGHTSOffering a far-reaching and comfortable light resembling natural daylight, they give best possible anticipation and control. The auto-directional powered system lets the lights guide the way, followed by your vehicle, lighting the inside of corners with even greater precision and control.

3. REAR PARKING SENSORSTo help with parking manoeuvres, these proximity sensors warn you of any obstaclesbehind you through a series of beeps that speed up the closer you get.

4. PROTECTION OF OCCUPANTSThe programmed safety system includes a full set of airbags and sensors for side impacts. The Fix4sure technology, a result of Renault’s innovation, is designed to stop submarining (where, during a frontal impact, the passenger slides under the seatbelt). The Fix4sure system effi ciently protects everybody and provides maximum safety thanks to a special boss in each seat base.
