2 Lift vehicle on vehicle lift AR00.60-P-1000GZ

3 Remove bolts (1)

4 Detach left and right fender liner in rear AR88.10-P-1400GQfender in area of bumper (2)

5 Remove left and right bolt (5) Model 166.8 (except 166.874)

as of model year 2016Model 166.874

6.1 Remove left and right bolt (3) Model 166.8

6.2 Unclip left and right expansion rivet Model 166.874

7 p Unclip bumper (2) from side wall (arrow a) Observe lug (4).Otherwise the rear lamp may be damaged.

8 Unclip bumper (2) below rear lamp (arrow b) and detach until electrical connectors (6, 7) are disconnected

9 Disconnect electrical connectors (6, 7) and i The number of electrical connectors remove bumper (2) varies according to vehicle equipment.

10 Install in the reverse order

g Check

11 Switch on ignition and check blind spot assist Model 166.8for operational readiness with code 234 (Blind Spot Monitoring)

i The operation and warning indicators in the outside mirrors illuminate red and then yellow.

12 Switch on ignition, switch on PARKTRONIC, Model 166.8 with code 220 (PARKTRONIC)engage reverse gear, disengage parking

brake and PARKTRONIC or active parking Model 166.8system with PARKTRONIC for operational with code 235 (Active Parking Assist with readiness PARKTRONIC)

i The PARKTRONIC automatically

performs a self-test and the operational readiness is signaled via the warning indicators.
