Remotely Funny is a revolutionary fast-paced game-show that plays out in contestants’
homes via web cams. You’ll face questions based on quirky facts, funny stories and
random knowledge from around the world plus take part in timed comedy challenges and
scavenger hunts all over your house, involving Mum, Dad, siblings, Aunts, Uncles, friends,
neighbours and anyone else who happens to be there.
Whoever wins gets their hands on a prize so unique all their friends will want it.
The series will be filmed 16th – 31st JULY 2016.
HOW TO APPLY
If you’re aged between 8 and 13 on September 1st 2015 and think this sounds like a good
laugh please fill in the attached application form. You’ll need to get your parent’s
permission and there’s a form for them to fill in too.
The closing date for signed applications with photos is FRIDAY 1st JULY 2016.
Please make sure you post the application form back to us as soon as possible along with
the signed consent form and a recent photograph of yourself (which we unfortunately
can’t return) to:

THE CASTING PROCESS
There are several stages to the casting process if you are successfully chosen. We’ll look at
all the application forms that reach us by the closing date and if selected to go through to
the next stage, we will arrange a phone interview with you and your parents/guardians and
explain the next stages of the casting process should you be chosen.
If you have NOT heard from us by FRIDAY 8th JULY 2016 this unfortunately means you
haven’t be successful this time.

If successful, we will film the series between 16th – 31st JULY 2016. Please be aware some
filming may be during term time.
We have a child protection policy and our staff are required to comply with it at all times. If your child is selected for the programme, we will require further information or details from you so we may obtain all necessary permissions, potentially from your child’s school and local education authority, to enable them to take part in this programme. During the auditioning and casting process, we may take head shots on a digital camera of every child we interview for our records and/or film the interviews/auditions. Details of how we may use information, photographs and/or footage obtained is detailed under the Terms and Conditions section below. Please note that due to the high volume of applications, photographs submitted with applications cannot be returned. SECTION 3 – REMOTELY FUNNY – TERMS AND CONDITIONS FOR APPLICATION
1) All applicants need to be 8-13 years old on 1st September 2015 and must be legally resident in the United Kingdom.
2) The applicant and any member of their immediate family and/or household must not currently, nor in the past twelve months, be an employee, contractor, officer, director or agent of Twenty Twenty Kids Limited (or its parent, affiliated, associated and/or subsidiary companies) (“Twenty Twenty”, “we”, “us”), the broadcaster or anyone connected with the Programme.
3) The applicant must be able to commit to all the filming days required which are currently expected to be between 16th and 31st July 2016.
4) Submission of an application form and compliance with the terms and conditions does not in any way constitute an offer to appear on the programme. Initial selection will be based on application forms and/or interviews where applicable. We may (or may not) invite applicants to an interview and/or audition.
5) The applicant’s participation in the programme will be subject to (i) the applicant and/or their parents/guardians having sufficient broadband speeds and (ii) all consents being
obtained and, where required a performance licence (which may require without limitation consent from their school and/or local education authority). The applicant and their parent/guardian agree to provide us with any assistance or further information necessary to do this.
6) We are looking to choose children to appear across the series that are different characters in terms of personality, age, ethnic background, gender and ability, from all areas of the UK, both to represent the audience and to maximise the interest in the show by the audience. We will consider everyone who applies equally, but cannot guarantee that everyone will be successful. Twenty Twenty’s decisions regarding selection to the programme are entirely at their discretion and are final. We reserve the right to refuse any submitted application. We cannot guarantee to contact everyone who applies or acknowledge receipt of the application.
7) Twenty Twenty has no obligation to produce the programme and even if the programme is made there will be no obligation to broadcast or transmit or otherwise exploit the programme or include the applicant or any filming in the programme.
8) If the applicant is selected to take part in the programme, the applicant and their parent/guardian agree that Twenty Twenty shall have the right to use the applicant’s contribution in all media in perpetuity throughout the world.
9) IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT THE USE OF YOUR DATA (a) Personal data and sensitive personal data which the applicant and their
parent/guardian supply to us during the application and casting process (including but
not limited to information about their health) will be used in a number of ways including
but not limited to (i) enabling us to produce and exploit the programme; (ii) in selecting
potential contributors for the programme; and (iii) to develop and produce the
programme, and in terms of name and age, may be detailed in the programme itself.
(b) The applicant’s and their parent/guardian’s personal data and sensitive personal data
may be shared with relevant parties for the purposes of the production and exploitation
of the programme and/or contribution including the production team, relevant staff at
the broadcaster, and our insurers and distributors.
(c) All information will be kept secure and treated as confidential and will be held in
accordance with our Data Protection Policy and the Data Protection Act 1998.
(d) If at any point the applicant and/or their parent/guardian decide that they no longer
want us to hold, use or process any of their personal information or want to update their
contact details, please let us know.
10) CONFIDENTIALITY. The applicant and their parent/guardian will keep strictly confidential and will not without the prior written consent of us at any time disclose, publish or reveal to any person (including without limitation via the internet or any social networking sites such as Facebook or Twitter) any incident, conversation or information concerning the proposed programme or the application/selection process which comes to their knowledge as a result of the applicant’s inclusion in the casting process and/or the proposed programme, if selected, nor other information relating to us, the broadcaster or the programme acquired by you other than information already in the public domain.
11) The applicant and their parent/guardian confirm that all of the questions in this application form have been fully, honestly and accurately completed and neither the applicant and their parent/guardian have misled or attempted to mislead us in any way to their identity, experiences or health or in any other way and agree to keep us informed of any change to these circumstances or the information and/or data set out in this application form. If the applicant and their parent/guardian are found to have knowingly supplied inaccurate, misleading or false information the applicant and their parent/guardian understand that the applicant may be immediately disqualified from casting process and/or taking part in the programme.
12) The applicant and their parent/guardian agree to comply with and adhere to these Terms and Conditions.
13) The applicant and their parent/guardian grant to us all necessary rights and consents for the full period of copyright (and afterwards so far as possible in perpetuity) to copy, edit and/or use at our sole discretion any information in and/or documents appended to the application form, any footage taken during the casting and/or the application process (together “the Audition Footage”) for any purposes connected with the programme, the promotion and advertising thereof and in connection with all other rights (including all allied and ancillary rights) by any means and in any and all media now known or hereafter invented throughout the world;
14) The applicant and their parent/guardian agree that they shall not be entitled to injunct or restrain the transmission or use of the Audition Footage, information in the application form, or any programmes or ancillary use which includes the Audition Footage (or any part of it), the Image(s) or any information in the application form.
15) The applicant and their parent/guardian hereby irrevocably and unconditionally waive any so-called "moral rights" in the Audition Footage or any such additional programmes or use (as set out in section 77 and section 80 of the Copyright, Designs and Patents Act 1988 or otherwise) as they now have or may acquire in relation to the Audition Footage or such additional programmes or use.
