Cainscross, St Matthew (registers start from 1838)

Cainscross is an ecclesiastical parish in the Diocese of Gloucester. It was formed from Stonehouse, Randwick and Stroud in 1837. It was a civil parish from 1894 until 1936, when it became part of Stroud Urban District.

Charlton Abbots is an ancient parish in the Diocese of Gloucester. It has been united with Sevenhampton since 1929 and both parishes have been united with Hawling since 1953. It has been in the civil parish of Sudeley since 1935.

Churchdown, St John the Evangelist

The church of St John the Evangelist was founded as a mission chapel in Parton Lane in 1933 and was known as the Holy Redeemer until its rededication in November 1941. The present church was built in 1957. The benefice also cares for St Andrew's, Innsworth and, from 1956-1970, St Francis Church Hall, Innsworth, and is in the Diocese of Gloucester.
