For, In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth(Genesis 1:1), and, God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them(Genesis 1:27). Were here under Gods sovereignty. There is a belief, however, that we can focus on God later in life, as we age and when we are finished with our own agendas. But it is foolish to put God off unl someme later. Consider Solomons advice: Remember your Creator in the days of your youth, before the days of trouble come and the years approach when you will say I find no pleasure in them’” (Ecclesiastes 12:1). Solomon goes on to list the debilitang effects of aging and injuries that are a part of mans life on earth. We need God throughout our lives, from the womb to the tomb, not just when we are finished with our own plans. Now is the me to remember your Creator; not someday, later, whenever, when it is convenient, or when it feels right. Our Preacher

Have you ever walked in our Preacher’s shoes, And gone where his feet have trod? Have you ever thought of what he means to us, And on your knees, given thanks to God? Have you ever told him thank you, For being there, when times are tough, For comforting words and fervent prayers When trials come and the storms of life are rough? He answers our calls in the middle of the night And tells us not to worry, for he will be there. He gives up his comfort of quiet rest And comes with prayers of comfort to share. Have you ever thought to say thank you, Preacher, For preaching God’s word to help us understand, For all the times he has asked for things That will lend us a helping hand? When you pray, put him at the top of the list And ask the Lord to surround him with loving care, To give him strength and walk with him, To help him with the burdens that he must bear. Have you ever walked in our Preacher’s shoes, And gone where his feet have trod? Have you ever thought of what he means to us, And on your knees, given thanks to God?

~Judy Crowe
