    COMMUNION STATEMENT

Christ came in the flesh at Bethlehem, He comes now in word and sacra-ment, and He will come again in judgement. As we look forward to His final coming, we find our deepest joy and comfort in His present coming with His very body and blood for our forgiveness. As we receive the Lord’s Supper today, guests desiring to commune are asked to speak with the pastor be-fore the service. For Scriptural reasons, we practice close communion.

STEWARDSHIP BIBLE VERSE FOR MARCH 1, 2020

Matt. 4:7 – Jesus said to him, “Again it is written, ‘You shall not put the Lord your God to the test.’ ” Jesus defeats Satan in our place – not by using His power as God but by His perfect obedience in His perfect humani-ty. Jesus defeats Satan – not by miracles but by quoting the Scriptures and living according to it. This should cause us great joy for two reasons. First, because we see Jesus win the victory for us. Second, because here Jesus shows us how to stand in that victory – on the Word of God alone.

    MEMORIALS and THANK OFFERINGS

through the generous donations to the flower fund.
