BROKER OWNER SPEAK

Back in office! You all must be back to routine after a week of holiday. Many of you may have gone out of town during the Diwali break to spend some quality time with family. Visiting relatives and greeting friends has happily occupied most of us over the past few days.

At RE/MAX Metro we did a Pooja seeking blessings from the almighty one to bless us with a good year ahead. I think our prayer has been answered to a great extent as our Business Associates did 4 deals

of rental and once again we have closed one more deal with our Japanese client by helping them get a residential bunga-low in South Bopal.

Markets have started to see some movement on new scheme launching as the plans which were on hold are getting passed by the government. There is 2-3 BHK low luxurious apartment scheme coming up near Prerna Tirth Derasar and seems a good location to have your home. We have given more details for the same in this Newsletter in our new property launch section.

We would also like to congratulate Mr Manan Choksi , Mr Aashil Patel and Team of RE/MAX MGM for starting the circulation of their book “ REAL ESTATE MAXIMUM”. More than 10,000 copies every month will be circulated in Ahmedabad making people aware of real estate market and giving them knowledge of many things associated with it. RE/MAX Metro wishes them great success in their effort.

Hope we all have a great year end and succeed in whatever we are doing.Wish you all the best

Home Sales Follow Seasonal Trend

Oct. 17, 2013 SEPTEMBER 2013 HOUSING DATA Volume 62

Days on Market 65

Months Supply

of Inventory 5.0

The September RE/MAX National Housing Report showed an 18.5% decrease in Closed Transactions from August, but a 10.7% increase over September 2012. This makes September the 27th consecutive month reporting higher sales than the same month in the previous year.

After a strong summer season with sales peaking in May and July, lower numbers in September appear to be following seasonal trends. Of the 52 metro areas surveyed in September, 47 reported higher sales than September 2012, with 34 reporting double-digit gains.

HIGHEST SALES INCREASES Chicago, IL +27.6% Boston, MA +20.7%

Anchorage, AK +19.9% Kansas City, MO +19.3%

Wichita, KS +19.1% Des Moines, IA +18.9%

Home sales and prices in September were lower than August, but remained significantly higher than September last year. This makes September the 20th consecutive month for year-over-year increases in both sales and prices. September home sales were up 10.7% and the Median Price of $185,000 was 12.2% above the price in September 2012. The RE/MAX Housing Report, a survey of MLS transaction data in 52 metropolitan areas, also found that inventory continues to decline at a slower rate. Current inventories are now 13.4% lower than this time last year. With the current rate of sales, the number of months required to sell the entire inventory of homes on the market moved up to 5.0. This is closer to the 6-month supply recognized as a balanced market with an equal number of buyers and sellers.

“It’s normal for the housing market to slow down a bit after the peak summer season, but it’s really encouraging to see that both sales and prices remain significantly higher than this time last year. The strong

performance we saw this summer and throughout 2013 confirms we’ve passed the early stages of a housing recovery and are now moving

toward a sustainable marketplace.” Margaret Kelly, CEO of RE/MAX, LLC.

CITIES REPORTING DOUBLE DIGIT INCREASES Detroit, MI +44.4% Atlanta, GA+36.0% Las Vegas, NV +30.5% San Francisco, CA +28.5% Miami, FL +24.4% Orlando, FL +24.3%

The Median Price of all homes sold in September was $185,000, a drop of 1.7% from the Median Price in

August, but still 12.2% higher than the Median Price in September 2012. September becomes the 20th

consecutive month with a Median Price higher than the same month of the previous year. Median Price

increases can be tied directly to the market’s low inventory and strong buyer demand. Of the 52 metro areas surveyed in September, 46 experienced higher

sales prices than one year ago. Of those, 19 metro areas reported double-digit increases.

Of all the homes sold in the 52 metro areas surveyed in September, the average number of Days on Market was 65, which is 3 days higher than the average in August, but 16 days lower than the average of September 2012. The September 65-day average marks the 16th consecutive month with a Days on Market average below 90. A low Days on Market average is the direct result of a reduced inventory of homes for sale and high buyer demand. Days on Market is the number of days between when a home is first listed in an MLS and when a sales contract is signed.

EXTREMELY LOW MONTHS SUPPLY San Francisco, CA 1.6 Los Angeles, CA 2.5 Denver, CO 2.5 San Diego, CA 2.9 Boston, MA 2.9 Honolulu, HI 3.0 Washington, DC 3.1

For 6 consecutive months, inventory has declined at a slower rate than during the same month of the

previous year. In September, there were 1.4% fewer homes for sale than in August, and 13.4% fewer

than in September 2012. Inventory levels appear to be moving toward stabilization. In September, 14

metro areas saw inventories increase over August. At the current rate of home sales, the Months

Supply for September was 5.0.

November 2013HEALTH SECTION

Read about some common childhood concerns for Indian children. Some illnesses are more common in some countries due to differences in climatic conditions, environment, and other factors. These are some of the common childhood concerns of children in India.

GASTROENTITIS

Gastroentitis is an infection of the digestive system and it is one of the most common childhood illnesses. Symptoms of gastroentitis include diarrheoa, nausea and vomiting, tummy cramps, and fever. Your child may have some or all of the symptoms. One of the main risks with gastroentitis is that it causes dehydration in children. Hence, take care to see that your child is given enough fluids to prevent the dehydration.

RICKETS

Rickets is a very common disease in developing countries. Rickets occurs due to Vitamin D deficiency. Defi-ciency of Vitamin D occurs in a child because of lack of exposure to sunlight. Lack of adequate calcium in the diet can also cause rickets. Rickets is a disease which involves softening and weakening of bones in children. Children between the ages of 6 to 24 months are at the highest risk of developing the disease because that is the age when their bones are rapidly growing.

CONJUNCTIVITIS

Conjunctivitis is caused due to inflammation of the conjunctiva. Conjunctiva is the outermost layer of the eye and the inner surface of the eyelids. Conjunctivitis often starts in one eye at first and then spreads to the other eye. For children suffering from conjunctivitis it is important to see a doctor to know what kind of conjunctivitis it is. Symptoms of conjunctivitis include redness of eyes, irritation in the eye, and eye watering.

SCABIES

Scabies is an infection of the skin. Scabies is caused by tiny insects called mites. These scabies mites burrow into the skin and lay eggs which become adult mites very soon. Symptoms of this infection include superficial burrows, rash and severe itching. Blisters on the palm and soles of the feet are characteristic symptoms of scabies in infants. Scabies is one of the highly contagious diseases and a child can develop it by coming into contact with someone else who has been infected. Children with scabies must not be sent to school or day care until it become alright.

November 2013PRESS RELEASE

'Sachinism is perhaps the anti-dote for a country where almost every institution is crumbling'

Sachiiinnn.... Sacchin...!!!

Fathers will want their lads to be gentlemen sportsmen and wives will always seek that perfect Sachin in their husbands. Sachin Tendulkar was and will remain more than a cricketer or, for that matter, even a sportsman. With the passage of time, many new Sachins will emerge but as long as they are bred in Sachinism, they will endure. This is what Sachin Tendulkar has left behind as he moves onto the next phase in his life. He has left behind a legion of admirers not just for the manner in which he struck bat to ball but also the indelible impression he left on the hearts and minds of all who saw him. Both on and off the pitch and that is what is important. To my mind, this country is a terrible inflexion point. We are bereft of inspirational icons. We are devoid of talent that is real; reverential and respectful of other people. Merit slowly has been replaced by brute strength. Humility is now a word in moral science text-books and the leitmotif of the average Indians has weakened beyond repair. In a country where political discourse has touched a new low; where almost every institution is crumbling, Sachinism will perhaps be the antidote and a perfect one at that. The defining quality of Sachin is diligence with dignity. In addition, what separated Sachin from any one I can fathom is his perseverance. We are increasingly becoming captive to time and impatience. Such values erode; they never build. In times like this, the best salute we could pay a man who gave us endless pleasure both on the field and as a humanist is to glean some fine examples from his very rooted and real life. In a competitive world such as ours, winning will always be lauded but then we have to remember the means will and should be as important as the end. We have become a nation of destinations but never the journey. One core belief that Sachin always exuded was that he was undertaking a journey and was not merely ticking off the passing milestones. It is this belief that a nation such as ours must embrace. Our children must be taught the value of goodness being the essential edifice on which to build greatness and for that character must return to our lives. A strong moral character and the willingness to become unpopular at the cost of being isolated. And in many ways, the definition of Sachinism is much like the man Sachin. Simple; focused and consistent. So even though Sachin may not come as often on our TV sets as he used to, now more than ever before is the time to embrace Sachinism.

Thank you, Sachin. For being Sachin. Continue to inspire; ignite and invoke. There is Sachinism in each one of us so that we become a nation of believers. And morph from mere patriots to true nationalists.

By Suhel Seth Sachin Tendulkar may have retired from cricket. He will no longer don an Indian Test cap. We will never hear chants of “Sachin, Sachin” in cricket stadia; even statisticians will get some rest. Mothers will no longer worry about the milk boiling over, being glued to television sets to see the Master Blaster. And India will not skip a heartbeat when Sachin misses a shot.
