2 Introduction

The purpose of this document is to aid new Service Providers to enable their billing system to use the BroadCloud billing files. This document provides call scenario CDR examples. It also contains the related Inventory Report and Order Detail report files that were generated when setting up the typical deployment scenarios depicted in the diagram below. All the sample files are contained within an accompanying ‘.zip’ compressed file. File Name: “BroadCloud Sample Billing Data Pack Files (UK)-V1.1.zip”. They have also been embedded within this document.


3 Call Scenarios

The examples that follow have been divided into 2 distinct groups;

Inbound call scenarios

Outbound call scenarios

The following diagram depicts the BroadCloud platform and some typical Service Provider deployment scenarios. The diagram has been included as an aid to illustrate the sample call scenarios and associated example CDRs.

• “User 1” answers.


• “User 1” Does not answer.


• “User 1” has Simultaneous ring (sim. ring) active.

• “User 1” simultaneous ring set to call their mobile phone (“User 1-Mob”)


• “User 1–Mob” answers.

4 • PSTN number calls Hunt Group (Service Provider: ‘Service Provider 2’, Customer: ‘Customer D’, Site: ‘Site 1’).

• Hunt Group calls “User 10” and “User 11” (Service Provider: ‘Service Provider 2’, Customer: ‘Customer D’, Site: ‘Site 1’).


• “User 11” Answers.

5 • PSTN number calls Hunt Group (Service Provider: ‘Service Provider 2’, Customer: ‘Customer D’, Site: ‘Site 1’).

• Hunt Group calls “User 10” and “User 11” (Service Provider: ‘Service Provider 2’, Customer: ‘Customer D’, Site: ‘Site 1’).



• “User 11” transfers the call to “User 10” with Transfer Consult.


• “User 1” has ‘Do not disturb’ feature active.

• Do not disturb feature forwards the call to “Voice Mail”. (Service Provider: ‘Service Provider 1’, Customer: ‘Customer A’, Site: ‘Site 1’).

7 • PSTN number calls “User 10”. (Service Provider: ‘Service Provider 2’, Customer: ‘Customer D’, Site: ‘Site 1’).

• “User 10” has ‘Call Forward Always’ feature active. o “User 10” ‘Call Forward Always’ set to forward to “User 11”.

(Service Provider: ‘Service Provider 2’, Customer: ‘Customer D’, Site: ‘Site 1’).

o Call Forward Always feature, forwards the call to “User 11” (Service Provider: ‘Service Provider 2’, Customer: ‘Customer D’, Site: ‘Site 1’).



Item Scenario


• “User 1” has ‘Remote Office’ feature active. o “User 1”s ‘Remote Office’ number set to their mobile phone number

(“User 1-RO”)

• “User 1” ‘Remote Office’ forwards the call to “User 1-RO”.

• “User 1-RO” Answers.

9 • PSTN number calls a Call Centre (Service Provider: ‘Service Provider 2’, Customer: ‘Customer D’, Site: ‘Site 1’).

• Call Centre calls o “User 10”

o “User 11”



10 • PSTN number calls an Auto Attendant (Service Provider: ‘Service Provider 2’, Customer: ‘Customer D’, Site: ‘Site 1’).

• The Auto Attendant has 2 options; o Option 1 to call “User 10”

o Option 2 to call “User 11”

• PSTN number selects option 1.

• Auto Attendant calls “User 10”.


11 • “User 2” Calls “User 3”

(Service Provider: ‘Service Provider 1’, Customer: ‘Customer A’, Site: ‘Site 2’).


12 • “User 2” Calls “User 3” (Service Provider: ‘Service Provider 1’, Customer: ‘Customer A’, Site: ‘Site 2’).

4 Sample Data

4.1 CDR Sample Data So that you can test both inbound and outbound CDRs, both Service Provider 1 and Service Provider 2’s CDRs have been included in the accompanying example file pack.

NOTE:

Only CDR Call legs for “Service Provider 1” users will appear in “Service Provider 1”’s CDR file.

Only CDR Call legs for “Service Provider 2” users will appear in “Service Provider 1”’s CDR file.

The sample files have also been embedded within this document below.

The records in the inventory reports were generated when configuring the typical service provider deployment scenarios that were used to create the sample CDR records.
