Creativity and innovation The uvex team develops new ideas in co-operation with experienced professional athletes, creating solutions which are precisely tailored to meet the tough demands of their sport. Our model makers sculpt every new helmet shape by hand, which is then transferred into CAD data, in order to produce the precision tooling required for the manufac-turing process. Stylish graphics are all hand drawn before the uvex design department transfers them to computer for final use.

sophistiCated teChnology uvex helmets are well thought out, down to the smallest detail. Sophisticated solutions include our monomatic closure and the IAS fit system, which guarantees perfect fit and safety, every time. The fit of the webbing head strap can be finely adjusted thanks to a snap closure. The luxurious textile liner is secured with hook and loop dots and can be easily removed for washing.

hand Finished to the Finest detail uvex equestrian helmets are manufactured at our pro-duction facilities in Germany. While using the most modern manufacturing techniques, many steps in the production process can only be carried out by hand, using highly trained craftsmen for steps such as riveting the chin straps and forming the textile liner. Graphics and logos are also applied to the helmet shell by hand. Whilst being packed, all helmets undergo thorough quality control checks.

top quality Materials Safety first: uvex uses only the highest quality materials from reputable manufacturers for its production processes. Each component is subjected to exacting quality control and these are continuously improved. The helmet’s outer shell is made from a special, high-impact resistant polycarbonate and ABS. A high-tech polystyrene inner layer absorbs the impact energy in a fall. The water-based coatings we use are solvent-free.

inMould teChnologyDirect moulding of the EPS (high density polystyrene) to the Polycarbonat shell forms an inseparable bond between the two materials. This creates an extremely secure, stable helmet construction, while providing superior ventilation.

hardshell teChnologyThe major advantage of the uvex hardshell is the climate control in the interior of the helmet. This is enabled by ventilation channels between the helmet shell and the helmet interior, which provide for permanent draft-free fresh air in-take, as well as an intelligent high-tech interior material – it keeps you dry as well as cool or warm. The developing moisture is discharged and conducted draftlessly to the outside via the ventilation channels. This guarantees a comfortable climate throughout your day.
