Reincarnation By: Veronica Apolonia | St. Ositha - Grade 9 The question of “what happens after you die?” is a question that has boggled humanity for ages. It not only has defined what we believe in but how we live the present. Humanity has always strived to be safe and escape harm, this is parallel to the concept of hell. It affected not only how we live now but also our interaction; and reincarnation is no different. Reincarnation is the result of what have you done in your present life and how does it affect your present life. Before we analyze deeply what reincarnation is, we need to first establish what it is. Reincarnation is the transfer of your consciousness or soul to another ‘holder’ in the real world. But the idea of “what/who’s body will I transfer to” is dependent on what you did right now. Whether or not it is the righteous path or not, in any case, you will get transferred. With that, we can safely say that someone arbitrates where, why, and how you will be transferred, a higher being (God anyone?). But this paper isn’t about that, but rather it’s about the validity of reincarnation. I think reincarnation is similar to the concept of hell, it is the manifestation of your current actions and being. It also influences our current actions. I can’t say whether or not there is reincarnation, it would be absurd of me to create an objective answer based on theories and abstracts. But what I can say is that reincarnation is a large part of a person who believes in it. It not only influences you but also determine who you are now and in the future.

The question of “what happens after you die?” is a question that has boggled humanity for ages.
