TRANSCRIPT

What were the initial intentions and goals informing “Reign of Vengeance”? Have theychanged during time? The initial goals of “Reign of Vengeance” wereto simply release one cd and then be done withthe project. It started as a side project but hassince become and developed into somethingmuch more serious.Looking back at "Disemboweling Swine",are you still satisfied with how it turnedout? For what “Disemboweling Swine” was, I amstill very satisfied with the way it turned out.We were signed to one of the largestdistributors of Indie Horror movies at the timeand I think that the music, lyrics, and artworkportrayed that extremely well. I think that it isstill the most thoroughly Brutal album that

I’ve heard while still maintaining a high levelof musicianship and variety.“The Final Solution; The Final Rebellion” isoverwhelming and extremely enjoyable.Where, when and how did the EP begin totake form? The Ep and its concept first began when I wasmade aware of certain esoteric organizations aswell as the inner workings of the Elite withinthese organizations. My published book hadcaught THE EYE of a few individuals that feltas if it demonstrated something “extra”. At thetime, I had no idea what they were talkingabout. But, now that I am very familiar withthe subject matter, I know exactly why thisbook stuck out to them. After learning muchabout these organizations in relation to theirreligion, their goals, and their beliefs it seemed

best to apply this wisdom musically and givethem the proper REIGN OF VENGEANCEblood bath ritual. I contacted Tim and toldhim about the concept and we began thewriting process immediately. James and Dougjoined us for this Ep after the initial guitartracks were completed. Overall, each memberof the band is extremely satisfied with the finalproduct. That matters more to us thananything else. What lyrical or musical themes did “Reignof Vengeance” want to embrace on “TheFinal Solution; The Final Rebellion” thatmay have not beenpreviouslyaccomplished? We have always dousedour lyrics in plenty ofblood, guts and gore. However, “The FinalSolution ; The FinalRebellion” is withoutany underlying humourand really has no sexualthemes, at all. It dealswith real organizations, real life scenarios, andthe brooding classwarfare that is currentlylingering within thefolds of everyone’s mindthat few are willing talkabout publicly. Therewill never be a moremassively heavy albumlyrically. For the way in which the world trulyworks currently, it is not possible.Do you find difference in writing lyrics for“Reign of Vengeance” compared to“Rebirth”?Yes. The difference is night and day, it is likecomparing an owl to a hawk.Does “Reign of Vengeance” represent yourmain focus? Are “Rebirth” or your solo stuff(as author, producer, etc) going to be on theback burner for a while? In general, howdifficult is it to balance being in differentbands and solo stuff? Both “Reign of Vengeance” and “Rebirth” arecurrently the main focus. The day that wefinished with this “Reign of Vengeance”album, Tim and I began writing the “Rebirth”album. The toughest transition is the mental

aspect, to jump from one sort of mentalityback into the other. “Reign of Vengeance” islike the destroying Tyrant while “Rebirth”could be mentally alchemic of the labourersthat rebuild what has been or should have beendestroyed. I am currently working on twobooks right now. One is a novel and the othera short collection of children’s horror stories. It has been said “He who owns the youth, ownsthe future.” As for producing and bookingshows, those are more or less focuses to dosomething when I’m not busy making music orwriting. Aside from music, writing, working

out, and reading I’m notquite sure what else Ienjoy anymore. Afterhaving slept with aridiculous amount ofwomen, spent so manymornings hung over, taken or experimentedwith plenty of drugs allof that shit becomesextremely boring after awhile if an individualhas any extra mentalcapacity beyond thephysical plane anddoesn’t get sucked intotheir potential pit falls.I see your as a fairlyunconventional band inthat you do things(artwork, lyrics, management, etc) very

much on your own terms. Could you describethe positive and negative aspects of such a“handson” approach? The positive is that you and the band can dowhatever you want to do whenever you want todo so. You can sound how you want, look howyou want, release albums when you want, andmake the art look like you want. Its completeand total control without some fucking parasitetelling you to sound, look, act, and be likeevery other band out there that is currentlyturning them a profit. I can guarantee you thatwe would not have been able to release this EPwith another label. They would have told us to“tone it down” for the sake of sales and massappeal. The negative approach is that the“industry” people HATE you and your band fornot abiding by their system. It makes sense for

them to hate you as well as every bit ofsuccess that you achieve without them. Bysimply being successful without them anindividual is then showing the world that all ofTHIS can be done without “industry” people. That threatens the income of the “industry”people, their livelihoods, etc. Therefore, anysuccess that a person has or a band has withoutthem makes the “industry” look less and lessimportant/useful/necessary. I have come toterms with the fact that the industry does NOTlike me or my bands and that there are plentyof people out there that will do what they canin order to ensure my failure and undermineevery one of our successes as much aspossible. Unfortunately for these patheticmorons, WE arealready successful. Iam successful. Peoplewith much morePOWER, influence, and intelligence thanthe majority of the“industry” people willever have havealready embraced me,my works, and mybands. What are some of themost rewardingaspects of creating music? What are some ofthe most challenging?A rewarding aspect would be the ability tochannel the inner workings of one’s mind andturn them into something that even the mostcommon moron can then understand simply bylistening to and engaging in the atmosphere ofthe music. If people are unable to grab certainconcepts mentally, they will still be able tofeel them emotionally through the musicalatmosphere. Music is its own universallanguage. To be able to talk and effectivelycommunicate within that language is extremelyrewarding and well worth the years of effortthat it takes to learn how to effectively do so.In terms of creating music, there is nochallenge as the music practically writes itselfthese days. It is dealing with the “industry”that is the challenge. What actually decides, that some bands doget recognized and others don’t. Have youever thought about this issue?Having put together well over 700 shows

myself, I can now spend time with a band andwithin 30 seconds know when, how, and whythey will break up or if they will be successfulin accomplishing their goals. If you have ashitty work ethic, then quit. It is also wise totreat your allies with respect and gratitudewhile destroying your adversaries. Most bandsand especially most people have a hard timegrasping that concept. I’ve noticed with manylocal bands that there are far too many of themthat think if they pick up a guitar 15 minutes aday and go to band practice twice a week thatthis will automatically make them aninternational rock star. They then get angrywhen they wake up the next day and peopledon’t recognize them as they walk down the

street. Ha! Anotherrule: if you aren’tmaking the promoteror bar owner money, especially if you arecosting them money, then don’t piss themoff with your bullshitattitude. Most of whatI’ve said above is“common sense”which unfortunately isfar from common. That phrase should be

removed from the English language as it doesnot make any sense.Anyway, there are many copycat bandsgoing around the metal scene. Does itdisappoint you that bands cannot come upwith their own ideas?Of course. In the beginning “copycat” isusually how bands or artists learn the craft. Ifthey aren’t willing to progress and adapt pastthat phase then they will surely meet their owndemise. This problem tends to take care ofitself. It is like Darwinism, but in music. What are your upcoming band/artisticplans?Make music, write, record, tour, rid the worldof illogical people, HATE, KILL, and incitethe full Revolution of Horus’s Aeon. Thanks Marshall! Anything else you’d liketo mention?Yes. ~~
