Take a look at our picture page insert to reflect on all
the summer fun we experienced. We played a lot of
miniature golf, walked through several beauIful parks,
visited many local ice cream shops, and enjoyed May-
field Village’s outdoor concerts. In early summer, we
went to Madison to see Luvin Lavender Farm, a Lake
Eire Crushers and a Lake County Captains game, toured
the Cuyahoga River on the GoodIme III, and celebrat-
ed our 30th anniversary at our Annual Family Picnic
with the Rocketship car (how fun was that?). In late summer, we groomed horses at Fieldstone
Farms, took a day trip to PiTsburgh to see the gorgeous Van Gogh live floral exhibit, relaxed at
Edgewater Beach, and topped it off with our Annual Performance Night and Art Exhibit. If you
haven’t turned the page yet, go for it!

Board of Cuyahoga County, located at 2012 W. 25th
Street, Cleveland, on October 11th-November 8th.
The art will be on display during the business hours of

Nightmare

The moon is out; there is no one on the street or in the house. It is
dead silent; all you can hear is the wind blowing and crickets mak-
ing noise. As I walk home, I see a car passing by me. I look but no
one is there. So, I run but it keeps following me. I find a place to
hide. I hear a loud noise behind me; I scream, “Ahhh!” But it’s just
a cat. Then an old woman comes in and says, “I got you now.” I
tried to run but I was stuck. Then, my clock went off! It was just a
dream, but why am I in a cauldron. “Ahhhh!” Turns out, that old
woman was a witch.
September Morn

The black cat fliTed across my path.
Her eyes sparked and gleamed for an instant,
She faded mysteriously, graceful into the dark
No longer now visible, perhaps.
It was so silent and eerie beneath the moon, the brilliant orb;
The star flung firmament.
But I had a morose mission and I brushed aside the portent.
On that heavy portentous night going as a disguised vaga-
bond to the deadly verge.
Clinical, cynical, all desolate and abominably anI-cyclical;
Praying for omens in the hush, thrusted into the expansive,
mere mechanism of trust.
It should have ended there while I was brought to gentle
night,
But instead into the inferno of mega-reflected light, I was
cast.
