During the past couple of years our industry has turned the corner, but prior to that as we all know, survival was difficult. But sometimes you make the most progress during difficult times. We are constantly applying selection pressure to our genetics so that we can move to greater efficiency in beef production, something we can all capitalize on.

Reid Angus Advantage 11U - Grand Champion Bull at Medicine Hat Bull Sale in 2009. He was also a Silver Medalist at the 2009 World Angus Forum at Spruce Meadows, and Futurity Champion Bull at the Olds Fall Classic in October. This is the kind of sire Reid Angus builds a program around. He is a broad based, free moving, a structurally sound bull, with a beautiful muscle pattern, and a natural fleshing ability. He bred 44 females this past spring. 11U sired Reid Angus Georgina 13X, she is one of his first daughters. She was Heifer Calf Champion at the Olds Fall Classic, was 3rd in the Legends of the Fall at FarmFair, & was 3rd to the Grand & Reserve Champion Heifers at FarmFair. 1/3 of our replacement heifers are 11U daughters & many are out of first calf heifers. Three of the bulls at the Medicine Hat Bull Sale this spring will be 11U sons.
