Verbs whose INFINITIVES end in -ar follow a pattern.

IRREGULAR VERBS

The verb you are about to learn, “ir” is IRREGULAR. It means “to go” in English. It is often followed by the word a: Voy al cine.

You must memorize the forms of “ir” because it is an irregular verb andit follows no pattern.
