Regular –ER verbs

•Regular –ER verbs are a family of verbs.

•They are similar to –AR verbs because

all “Regular –ER verbs” follow a pattern…

“comer” is one example of a “regular –ER verb.”

It means “to eat”

COMER = to EATYo como = I eat

Tú comes = You eat

Él come = He eats

Ella come = She eats

Usted come = You eat

Nosotros comemos = We eat

Vosotros coméis = You all eat (Spain only)

Ellos comen = They eat

Ellas comen = They eat

Ustedes comen = You all eat

ALL “regular –ER verbs” follow this same pattern.

For example…

BEBER is a regular –ER verb. It means “to drink”

Yo bebo = I drink

Tú bebes = You drink

Él bebe = He drinks

Ella bebe = She drinks

Usted bebe = You drink

Nosotros bebemos = We drink

Vosotros bebéis = You all drink (Spain only)

Ellos beben = They drink

Ellas beben = They drink

Ustedes beben = You all drink
