SoMachine Licensing

●Once starting SoMachine V4.1, you must register SoMachine software●The customer has the right to use SoMachine V4.1 and SoMachine Motion

V4.1 for 21 days without any registration●After this time it is mandatory to register in order to use the software

● The registration is done on the Software Licensing Web Portal

● The activation of the software features is possible by using the web method (Internet connection mandatory) or the phone method with the registered and validated e-mail address

Registration on the Software Licensing Web Portal


● Go to the Software Licensing Web Portal under http://www.schneider-electric.com/licensing.

● Here click on the „Create Your Account“ link

● Enter your E-Mail address● And proceed by clicking on the „Ok“ button

● On the next pageinsert all your data and your password

● Don‘t forget to enter the image code shown in the bottom right corner

● After filling our all the informationclick on „Ok“ to confirm your entries

● An e-mail is sent to the given e-mail address with the shown content

● Click on the following link to validate your e-mail address :„Click here to validate your account“

● After the validation, the registration process is completed.

Activating a license directly out of the SoMachine V4.1

Internet connection necessary


● After the 21 days trial (or at any time during the trial period), SoMachine & SoMachine Motion are asking for a mandatory registration

On-Line Activating via the Web


● At any time, the user is able to start the registration process via the „Help“ → „Registration Wizard“ menu tab.


● The registration wizard is also accessible via the system options in SoMachine and SoMachine Motion


● Insert the e-mail address of the license user twice and go on with the “Next” button.

Once the registration wizard is launched, the following process is executed:



go on with the “Next” button.● This e-mail has to be a

registered & validated e-mail address.

● The next time you are activating a software feature, the last entered e-mail is given and has not to be entered again.

● The license is activated !



● The license is now visible in the License Manager and on the Licensing Web Portal


● In case during activation an e-mail address is used, which is either not registered or not validated, the License Manager returns a dedicated error message


Activating a license within the License Manager

No Internet connection necessary


If no internet connection is available, the License Manager has to be started manually in order to activate the necessary feature.

●Start the License Manager and click on the “Activate” Button

Off-Line Activation by phone


● For the on-line activation via phone use the “By phone” method and click on “Next”

●Choose the related product you want to activate and confirm the activation by clicking on the “Next” button.



● The next page provide the Software Registration Center information with the related phone numbers necessary for a activation by phone

This page provides the information that has to be given to the chosen Software Registration Center in order to generate the related „Short Code Response“ to be able to activate a license by phone.



● Call the Software Registration Center and give the operator the information shown. In addition, the ActivationId as well as the user e-mail address will be requested

● Insert the received “Short Code Response” code

● The license is activated !



● The license is now visible in the License Manager.

●Also it is visible that the license was activate by phone
