TEAMSTeams will be formed using a computer program which takes into consideration coaches and parent evaluation, age, gender, number of seasons played, and skill level. You will be contacted by your coach the week before play begins.
PRACTICESTeams may practice no more than once per week and are subject to field availability.
Priority practice times are given to: a) younger age groups first; b) coaches with the most number of seasons coached at the Escondido Sports Center, c) practice times are chosen by the coaches.
COACHESCoaches receive a $20 discount if selected (one discount per team). Coaches may request 3 players for your team. (This includes your child(ren). A pre-season coaches meeting will include rules, drills, positions, and game strategies. Fill out an application at time of registration. All coaches are required to be fingerprinted. Completion of the above does not guarantee a position as coach.
GAME DAYSTeams may be assigned two game days: “primary” and “alternate.” The league will try to schedule most or all of the games on the “primary” days, time permitting. However, players MUST be available to play on both of these days. It is possible teams will have regularly scheduled games on both the “primary” and “alternate” game days.
TEAMSTeams will be formed through a draft process. Each player and coach must attend an assessment training session on draft day to ensure a competitive balance in the league. For more information on the draft process contact Cruz Mora at [email protected].

PARENT PARTICIPATIONParents are encouraged to participate in the first game with their child(ren). This age group needs more than one “coach/leader” to organize a team. Parents are needed to position their children on the field, handle their child's special needs, assist with teaching the basics about soccer and, most importantly, cheering the young players on! Each team will be assigned one “head” coach/leader to coordinate with the office.
COACHESHelp as a coach and we will give you the materials needed to be effective and lead your team. Coaches receive a $20 discount if selected, one discount per team.
