Eagle Creek Park’s nature day camps are designed to get campers active, outside, and

provide a learning experience that can’t be matched. Knowledgeable counselors and

park staff lead campers while hiking trails, exploring creek beds, fishing, canoeing, and

getting up close with our resident wildlife. Every week we host different age groups with

camps designed to get kids excited about learning and experiencing the natural world.

Eagle Creek hosts summer day camps at two locations within the park, the Earth

Discovery Center (EDC) and the Ornithology Center (OC). All campers will

need a change of clothes and extra pair of shoes each day.

To register, call 317-327-7148 for camps located at the EDC and 317-327-2473 for

camps at the OC. Register online at www.indyparks.org and enter the 5 digit

course code.

Registration begins on January 22, 2018

Refund Policy: Indy Parks will issue a full refund if the camp is cancelled. A $15 service charge will be deducted from all refunds. The $15 is not refundable or transferable. For campers withdrawing from Garfield Arts Camp, Southeastway, Eagle Creek, or Holliday, notice must be received two weeks prior to the first day of camp. If the camper is withdrawn less than two weeks prior to first day of camp, only 50% of your costs will be refunded. If a medical emergency occurs after the two-week deadline, a refund minus the $15 service charge will be issued. Refunds could take up to six weeks.

Little Ducklings will learn about the world around them through fun nature-play activities. We will use crafts, games, stories, and hikes to discover the wonders of nature!

Young Naturalist (EDC) Ages 6-7

Become a Jr. Naturalist in this camp as we identify trees, study pond life, and use binoculars to spot birds. We’ll go creek stomping as well! Make sure campers wear good walking shoes.

Join us as we explore all of the wettest places in Eagle Creek Park. We will canoe on the reservoir, take a closer look at pond life, and wade through the water in the creek. You'll want extra clothes and shoes every day!

fallen logs, creating mud artwork, and finding new ways to get dirty.

Learn basic survival techniques and wilderness tips to help you on your next outdoor adventure! We will be building shelters, hiking, fishing, canoeing, and swimming in the reservoir!

Become an Eagle Creek Park Nature Explorer! We will explore trails and streams, learn how to navigate in the forest, and discover what nature can teach us about survival.

9:00am-4:00pm Course code: 14222 We will hike to the best prairies, forests, and ponds the park has to explore. Campers will go fishing and canoeing on the reservoir, look for insects in the fields, and much more!

Strive to Survive II (EDC) Ages 10-12

This camp covers just the basics of outdoor survival. We will learn how to build a shelter, navigate with a compass, practice knot tying, go fishing, wilderness first aid, and most importantly have fun!

Junior Ornithologist (OC) Ages 12-15

9:00am-4:00pm Course code: 14309 We will learn to use binoculars, identify different bird species, and navigate the trails to find different birds. Campers will get a behind-the-scenes tour to see how we take care of our live birds of prey.

Adventure Camps Ages 12-15 Soar through a week of fun adventures! We will hike, practice archery, climb a tree with a rope and harness, and complete the Go Ape course! While expanding our love of nature!
