REGISTERING WITH THE

ONTARIO KARATE FEDERATION

24 January 2017

Registering with the Ontario

Karate Federation - Overview

• Each calendar year, the registration process begins with the Dojo. Dojos must first register before the process for Individual Registration can occur

• Currently, Dojos have the option of registering and paying online through the onkarate.ca website, or they can register manually by filling in the Dojo Membership Registration form and sending form and payment by mail (or handing in at certain official OKF events)

• Once the Dojo is registered, individuals can then register directly with the OKF or Dojo Directors can choose to register members on their behalf. Currently, either process for registering individuals is done through manual forms and submissions

A delegate from the Active Member Club is asked to attend all indicated meetings and the AGM. The delegate will represent the club in matters put to a vote.

ASSOCIATE Dojo Member

Typically intended for start-up dojos or those in remote areas, an ASSOCIATE Member Club is a karate club that does not fulfill the requirements of an ACTIVE Member Club. Limitations on an Associate Member Club will include (but may not be limited to):
